PC Tuneup Maestro Review

Hi everyone! For this post I decided to take a look at a piece of software I just came across. The software is a PC tuneup software called PC Tuneup Maestro. Since I have frequently reviewed various PC tuneup programs and am a big fan of them, I figured this would be the perfect program to review for this post. Consider this my PC Tuneup Maestro Review. :)

So, what is PC Tuneup Maestro? I more or less explained it in my first paragraph, but PC Tuneup Maestro is a PC Tuneup program designed to tune up your PC and get it running at full speed and error free. There are a lot of tune-up programs, so the competition is fierce. How does PC Tuneup Maestro stack up?

I went ahead and downloaded and installed PC Tuneup Maestro. It's a really quick download and installation, so even those on dial-up connections should have no problem quickly downloading this software. With that, let's get right to the program itself.

Upon opening this software, I was greeted with a nice looking interface. It looks very professional and very easy to use. On the left is a bar with the various tuneup tools, and on the right, it shows the various details.

I first took a look at the various tools that this software uses. I noticed that with this program there was a registry cleaner, hard drive cleaner, registry defrag, performance tuneup, disk defrag, resource monitor, and startup manager. It's a fairly comprehensive set of tools. The registry defrag is a nice touch, I don't see that too frequently with PC tuneup programs.

I went ahead and tested out some of the tools. To start, I ran the registry cleaner. I just used another registry cleaner the other day and cleaned up my computer registry. Despite running the previous scan, PC Tuneup Maestro found over 1,000 items that could be cleaned from the registry cleaner which really surprised me. Guess what I'm now going to be using to clean my computer registry, lol :)

In short, I like PC Tuneup Maestro. The program is very easy to use, and the registry cleaner is quite impressive. If you are looking to tuneup your PC, consider using PC Tuneup Maestro. Good luck!

Max Registry Cleaner Review

Hey everyone! I'm back for another review. It's been quite awhile since I've updated this blog, and I apologize to everyone! For this post I decided to review a recent software program I came across a couple weeks ago. It's a Registry Cleaner, and as a lot of my readers know, I consider myself quite the expert with Registry Cleaners :). This software is called Max Registry Cleaner, and so this is my Max Registry Cleaner Review.

I really don't need to explain what Max Registry Cleaner is. It's pretty self-explanatory. Max Registry Cleaner is a program that is used to clean your registry cleaner. There are a lot of registry cleaners out on the market, so the competition is fierce. Does Max Registry Cleaner excel above the rest?

I went ahead and downloaded and installed Max Registry Cleaner. It was a fairly quick download and installation, so let me get right to the program itself.

Upon opening Max Registry Cleaner, I noticed that the interface wasn't the prettiest. A lot of registry cleaners try to compete for the nicest looking program. While a nice looking program may catch the users eye, it's all about how the software actually performs. Remember, don't judge a book by its cover :). So while the interface isn't the greatest, I'm not going to hold that against the program.

As far as the program itself, I went ahead and ran the registry cleaner and surprisingly, it found quite a bit of entries to remove. I try to keep my computer in tip-top shape, so this was a little surprising... (and embarrassing! lol). I used Max Registry Cleaner to remove the registry entries, and it had no problem with the removal.

Upon looking through the Max Registry Cleaner, I noticed it doesn't have a whole lot of additional features. However, this isn't a system optimization program. It's a program designed specifically to clean your registry and excel at it. Indeed it does appear to excel at it.

In closing, I like Max Registry Cleaner. It may not be as pretty as the other programs, but it gets the job done. In the end, that's where it truly counts. Highly recommended.

PhotoEditorX Review

Hi everyone! I just came across an interesting image program that I thought I would review. I haven't been updating this blog as often as I should lately, and I thought it would be a nice idea to try this program out and talk a little bit about it. Apparently it's rather popular. This program is called PhotoEditorX, so this is my PhotoEditorX review. =)

So what exactly is PhotoEditorX? The name sort of gives it away. PhotoEditorX is an image editing program. Image editing is fairly common now a days. A lot of people own Digital Cameras, and a lot of people like to edit their images.

I went ahead and downloaded and installed PhotoEditorX. It was thankfully a rather easy download and installation. So let's get right to the program itself!

Upon opening the program, I was a bit overwhelmed by all the windows that loaded. However, I have used other image programs before, and I was able to quickly get a hang of PhotoEditorX and I was able to figure out what did what. It seems fairly easy to use, even for beginners.

I spent a bit of time playing around with PhotoEditorX. I used some of my digital images, and also a couple pictures I downloaded off the web. I played around with some of the effects like Red Eye Removal, Changing Colors of the image, background removal, motion blur, etc. All of the effects worked very well and were easy to use.

I also spent some time with some of the other features included in PhotoEditorX such as creating animations, using layers, and messing with transparent images. Again, like before, it all worked fairly well.

In all, I really like PhotoEditorX. For the past few years, I have used Paint Shop Pro for photo editing, but I honestly think I like PhotoEditorX more. It works just as well as Paint Shop Pro, yet it has a good price. Highly recommended!

WiseFixer Review

Hey everyone! Back for another review. =). For this post, I decided to review this software utility program called Wisefixer. It's been a few weeks since I've reviewed any programs on this blog, so let's get right to this Wisefixer review!

What exactly is WiseFixer? As I previously said, it is a software utility program. Basically, it is a program designed to help you increase your computer speed and perform basic computer maintenance. This can be done through Registry Cleaners, Disk Cleanups, etc. These type of programs are very common. I have actually reviewed a lot of similar programs in the past. I came across WiseFixer last night thought and I thought it looked interesting. I was surprised I hadn't heard of it before in all honesty.

Anyway, I went ahead and downloaded and installed WiseFixer. The download was fairly small and the installation was painless. So let's open up Wisefixer and take a look at it!

Upon loading WiseFixer, I first took a look at the interface and it looks pretty good. The tools are all listed on the left, and it's easy to access the various tools that you may want to use on your PC.

I looked through some of the tools that are included with WiseFixer and I'm really impressed by it. Some of these tools I've literally never seen in a system utility program before. There are the usual tools like a Registry Cleaner, Disk Cleanup, Startup Manager, File Shredder, BHO Manager, etc. But there is also tools like the File Joiner/File Splitter. This helps in splitting or rejoining large files. I've always had to use a separate program to do this. It's nice to see that something like this is included with WiseFixer.

Besides the tools I listed, some of the other tools that come with WiseFixer include An ActiveX Blocker, Shortcuts Cleaner, and Program Uninstaller. The ActiveX Blocker is really nice, because it helps block harmful ActiveX Plugins that may contain spyware. Some websites often try to install these ActiveX plugins when you are on their website. Blocking these harmful ActiveX items is a great way to protect yourself from spyware. Definitely nice to see this included with WiseFixer.

In all, I really like WiseFixer. The list of tools is nice. If you make sure to use this program regularly, you can do a great job at keeping you computer up to speed, getting rid of junk files, and even keeping harmful ActiveX items away from your computer. Highly recommended!

XComTools Review

Hey everyone! For this post, I decided to do a review of this system utilities suite called XComTools. As my regular readers know, I often review software related to your computer and keeping it running up to speed. XComTools is another such program that claims to help you with that task. So with that, I decided to try out XComTools and give you an XComTools Review.

So what is XComTools? Like I mentioned, it is basically software designed to help you keep your computer up to speed. System utility programs and registry cleaners are very popular today. I myself have tried out a lot of them. So going into this, it's going to take a lot to impress me.... but I'm going to go ahead and try it anyway. :)

I went ahead and downloaded and installed XComTools. The download was just under 5MB, so it's a very quick download. The installation itself was also painless. So with that, let's get right to the software!

I opened XComTools and I was taken to the main screen. The look of the program itself is impressive. It looks very professional and all of the various tools included in this program are easy to access. Right after I opened XComTools, it began scanning my computer for errors. While most users will appreciate this, I went ahead and hit cancel because I wanted to look at all of the tools that came with XComTools. I must say, XComTools has a LOT of tools.

Based on a quick look, I saw the following tools: Registry Cleaner, Junk File Cleaner, Evidence Cleaner, Duplicate Cleaner, Shortcut Cleaner, Windows Repair, IE Repair, System Repair, Shortcuts Repair, File Association Repair, System Optimizer, Disk Defragger, Registry Defragger, Uninstall Manager, ActiveX Blocker, File Shredder, Memory Optimizer, Startup Manager, System Speedup, Internet Optimizer, Registry Backup, and Driver Backup.

Clearly there is a lot of tools with XComTools and it might look like it's easy to get overwhelmed. However, when you click on each tool, there is a description as to what this tool does. You can go through each individual tool and figure out which ones you feel you should run for your computer. It's a pretty simple process and even those who are new to computers shouldn't have a problem with using XComTools.

When it comes to the tools themselves, they all performed very well for me. The memory optimizer is especially nice. Many people just assume that they need more RAM for their computer. However, using something as simple as this memory optimizer tool can really help with your computer RAM. But overall though, all of the tools are great.

In all, I highly recommend that my readers check out this software. It may be the best system utility program that I have come across. If you have any interest at all in speeding up your computer, then definitely give this software a try.

1-Click-Fix Review

Hey everyone! For this post, I decided to review a program called 1-Click-Fix. As a lot of my readers know, I frequently like to review programs I come across. I especially over the last couple years have reviewed a lot of registry cleaners and system optimization programs. 1-Click-Fix appears to be a system optimization program and surprisingly, I hadn't tried it out yet. So I figured I should take a look at it. :) So with that, I figure I will go ahead and do a 1-Click-Fix review.

First off, what is 1-Click-Fix? It's pretty self-explanatory actually. 1-Click-Fix is a computer optimization program that claims it will help speed up your PC and get rid of errors. A lot of programs claim to do this, but does 1-Click-Fix stand out above the rest?

I went ahead and spent a bit of time tonight and took a look at 1-Click-Fix. The first thing that stands out to me is just how easy 1-Click-Fix is to use. I opened the program, and within 1 click, 1-Click-Fix was scanning the computer for registry errors, history tracks to remove, duplicate files that can be removed, etc. It literally lives up to it's name and makes tuning up your PC as simple and easy as possible.

Another thing that stands out to me is that it's nice that this isn't just a registry cleaner. A lot of computer optimization programs just focus on optimizing your registry. This is a good strategy, but there are other areas of your computer that need to be optimized such as your disk drive and other tweaks that can be made. These different tasks are all included in the 1-Click-Fix scan.

In addition, 1-Click-Fix also includes some different tools if you wish to go a step further in optimizing your PC. This includes a startup manager, BHO manager, program uninstaller, etc. The startup manager is especially useful. Simply using the startup manager and getting rid of unneeded startup times can cut your PC's boot time in half.

As far as the tools themselves, they all worked fairly well and I had no problem with them. The registry cleaner even found a few registry entries that were taking up space that other programs had missed. So I was really impressed by that.

In closing, I highly recommend my readers check out 1-Click-Fix. If you are looking for a very easy program to use that can quickly optimize your PC, then 1-Click-Fix is a must. Highly recommended!

LightSpeedPC Review

Hey everyone! I am back for another review. I have been trying to update this blog more and recently was looking for some programs online that I have yet to try. I came across this program called LightSpeedPC. I took extra interest in it because it said it was a PC Optimization program. As some of my readers know, I've reviewed a lot of PC optimization programs over the last couple years. Since I hadn't tried out LightSpeedPC, I decided to go ahead and so do. Here now is my LightSpeedPC review :).

So what exactly is LightSpeedPC? As I mentioned, it is a program designed to help you speed up your PC. This is done through various tasks and tools. PC optimization programs are very popular and I have tried a lot of them. Because of this, it takes a lot for a program to stand out to me :) Going into trying out LightSpeedPC, I was skeptical that it would be above the rest, but I kept an open mind.

Anyway, I went ahead and spent some time with it. LightSpeedPC is actually very impressive. The main thing that jumps out at me is just how many tools are included to tune up your PC. This isn't a simply registry cleaner and nothing else. There is a registry cleaner, Startup List Manager, Program Uninstaller, Hard Drive Defragmenter, RAM Booster, Disk Cleanup, File Undeleter, File Shredder, etc. There is a LOT with this software.

Another thing I like about LightSpeedPC is just how easy it is to use. A lot of people that use LightSpeedPC may not be computer experts and they don't want to spend hundreds of dollars and take their computer to a shop just to have it tuned up. LightSpeedPC is a low cost alternative that speeds up your computer in a fraction of the time and price. It's done in a way that makes it easy for anyone to use LightSpeedPC.

The only downside I can think of with LightSpeedPC is that it does cost to download the full version. However, I can't think of another program that offers this many tools at this price. So for the price, it's an amazing deal.

In short, I highly recommend that all of my readers download and check out LightSpeedPC. It has a lot of tools, and I especially recommend the Registry Cleaner, Startup Manager, and RAM Booster. Those three tools alone will go a long way in speeding up your PC. Highly recommended!

PC Speed Doctor Review

Hey everyone! For this post I decided to review a new software program called PC Speed Doctor. I was looking online and it appears that PC Speed Doctor was released just within the last couple weeks. A lot of my regular readers know that I like to review PC Optimization programs. So I decided I would go ahead and review PC Speed Doctor. So with that, let's get to this PC Speed Doctor review!

So first off... what is PC Speed Doctor? PC Speed Doctor, like I mentioned in the previous paragraph, is in the group of PC Optimization programs. PC Speed Doctor's goal is to improve your PC Performance. There are many programs that claim to do this. However, many of these such programs I have personally reviewed in the past and found to be rather lacking. So going into trying out PC Speed Doctor, I was skeptical.

Anyway, I went ahead and spent a bit of time with PC Speed Doctor earlier. My first impression was just how easy PC Speed Doctor is to use. Rather then have a lot of separate tools that you run, PC Speed Doctor has combined them all into one powerful scan. With PC Speed Doctor, it's literally as simple as running the scan, and removing all of the issues that it finds. It's very very easy to use. Although I should note, despite the fact that it combines all of the scans into one powerful scan, you can still run some of the scans separately. So you still have that control over what parts of your computer to optimize.

One thing I also liked with PC Speed Doctor, is just how much it scans your computer and looks for junk on your computer to delete. It's not just looking for simple files to delete. We are talking unneeded registry keys, leftover temp files, cached browser data, etc. PC Speed Doctor does a fairly good job at removing leftover junk.

As far as the tools themselves, they performed well. Actually, they performed really well. It found close to 10GB of files that can be cleared up. That's a little embarrassing to admit actually, because I usually take pride in trying to keep my computer junk free lol. But it looks like it found a lot of files that other programs were missing. So I'm glad I tried out PC Speed Doctor.

In short, I recommend PC Speed Doctor to those out there that are looking to speed up their PC. It may not have as many tools as some of the other PC optimization programs have, but PC Speed Doctor's main focus is speeding up your PC by removing unneeded junk. This is by far the best way to speed up your PC, and PC Speed Doctor does a great job at it.

Illusion Mage Review

Hey everyone! For this post, I decided to do something a bit different then I normally do. Usually when I review programs, I stick to reviewing PC optimization programs, computer security products, etc. This time though, I decided to review this popular software program called Illusion Mage. So consider this my Illusion Mage review :)

What is Illusion Mage? Well... Illusion Mage is a software program designed to let you easily create 3D animations. As I said, this is very different from the type of software that I usually recommend. However, I've always had a thing for graphic animation. I remember way back when I was 11, and I'd make little animations through paint of south park characters lol. I'd take the individual BMP's and put them together using a GIF maker. Those were the days lol.

Anyway, I went ahead and tried Illusion Mage. Here are my thoughts on it :)

Among opening Illusion Mage, I was a little overwhelmed at first. There are a lot of different buttons and options to select. However, there are videos to go along with it that explain how everything works. So I was quickly able to get the hang of it and start using Illusion Mage.

One thing I must emphasize is just how easy Illusion Mage really is to use once you get the hang of it. I hear of cartoons that are created where it takes months and months to make the characters. Yet, with Illusion Mage it feels like I could create a whole cartoon in just a small amount of time. It's really that easy once you learn how to use the software and watch the videos.

A couple other things also stand out. First off, the computer requirements are really low. This really surprised me. Usually graphics programs have very high system requirements due to all of the processing power that is used. With Illusion Mage however, you can use it even if you have a rather slow computer. The developers did a great job of making a program that produces great animation without using a lot of processing power.

The other thing that also really stands out is the price. In the world today of $500 for Photoshop, Illusion Mage is priced at a ridiculously low price. Currently, it is being sold for $47, however this is part of a current special and may go up. Either way, it's a steal compared to how much you'd have to pay for some of the other graphics programs available on the market.

In short, I highly recommend Illusion Mage. It's not usually the type of program I review on this blog, but I'm really glad I did. If you have any interest at all in creating 3D animations without having to pay a huge cost, then you definitely should give Illusion Mage a look.

Captain Optimizer Review

For this post, I decided to talk a bit about a new program I just came across. It is called, Captain Optimizer. Captain Optimizer is from the same company that put out the Registry Commander software which I reviews recently. As regular readers may know, I liked Registry Commander, so I'm going to go ahead and take a look at Captain Optimizer and see if I like it as well. Now, onto this Captain Optimizer Review!

First off.. what exactly is Captain Optimizer? Captain Optimizer is a program designed to help optimizer your PC and keep it running error free and at top performance. As people use their computers, they inevitably start to slow down. Captain Optimizer works to reverse this process. This is done through various tools that you can use. So now that we know what it's about, how does it perform?

I spent some time with it before writing this review and I am very impressed by Captain Optimizer. I have reviewed a lot of PC Optimization programs over the last couple of years. Some of them have been good, some have been bad. Captain Optimizer goes into the good category. Well.. not just good, but really good!

The first thing I had noticed about Captain Optimizer is just how nice everything was organized. The interface looks nice, and everything is organized in an easy way so you can get right to the individual tools. Not only is this great for the user, but it makes it easier for me to get to the tools and review them ;).

When looking through Captain Optimizer I was struck by just how many tools are included to manage your computer and keep it problem free. There's a disk defrag, junk file cleaner, memory optimizer, duplicate file finder, file undeleter, startup customizer, etc. There's a LOT of tools.

A couple other tools I also noticed that really stand out is the Driver Updater, and the Analyze Your Files tool. The Driver Updater works to look for updated drivers to install on your computer. Driver updater tools are very much in demand these days as a lot of people are looking for an easy way to update your drivers. In fact, programs specifically just for updating your drivers are frequently sold. Yet, with Captain Optimizer, it is included at no additional cost. That's very impressive to me, and I can't think of a single PC optimizer I have tried that included the Driver Updater.

As far as the Analyze Your Files tool, it basically takes a look at your hard drive and gives you statistics on your files. For instance which folders are taking up the more space? What are the largest files on your entire computer? etc. It's a great way to find files you don't need that are taking up a LOT of space. I've used similar tools in the past, but never seen them included in a single package the way it is with Captain Optimizer.

In short, I'm really really impressed by Captain Optimizer. The amount of tools included really surprised me. In addition, the tools all worked great for me. If you are looking for a PC optimization program, Captain Optimizer definitely stands out above the rest. Highly recommended!

Registry Commander Review

Hey everyone! I'm back for another review! I decided to review a program I came across just last night. It is called Registry Commander. There was a 2011 edition released, so I decided to take a look at it and give my full review. So consider this my Registry Commander Review :).

First off... what is Registry Commander you may be asking? Registry Commander is a program designed to help you clean your computer registry. Keeping your computer registry clean is important. It helps prevent slowdown on your computer. In addition, it can also prevent registry errors from forming. Unfortunately though, Microsoft doesn't include a Registry Cleaner with Windows. So that is where a program likes Registry Commander comes into play.

I went ahead and spent some time with Registry Commander. In all honesty, Registry Commander does very well at it's intended purpose. It's purpose is to clean your computer registry and it did a great job of that. The scan was fairly quick, and it found a lot of errors that even other programs had missed.

On the downside, there aren't a lot of additional features with Registry Commander. Many PC optimization programs include other features to help in optimizing your PC. But perhaps that's not a fair comparison. Registry Commander isn't a full PC optimization program, it's a program built specifically to help keep your registry error free, and it does a good job at it's intended purpose.

In short, I'm going to go ahead and recommend Registry Commander. If you are specifically are looking for a registry cleaner, you should give Registry Commander a try. However, if you are looking for a full PC optimization program, I recommend Registry Winner which I took a look at awhile back.

Workstation Optimizer Review

Hey everyone! For this post, I decided to do a review of "Workstation Optimizer" As my readers know, I regularly discuss Registry Cleaners and review some of the different registry cleaners out on the market. Workstation Optimizer was released awhile back, yet I somehow managed to miss it until now. Perhaps it's the name of the program, which wouldn't make me think it's a registry cleaner until I actually looked into it ;). Either way, once I started looking at the company website, the program looked interesting. So I am going to go ahead and do a Workstation Optimizer Review.

So what is Workstation Optimizer exactly? Like I mentioned, it's a registry cleaner, but also a lot more. It's main purpose is to optimize your computer. This appears to be done through various tools. Now that we know the reason for using software like this, let me get right to reviewing it!

I spent a bit of time earlier taking a look at Workstation Optimizer. First off... I must say, the interface is really nice. I've come across some programs with pretty ugly interfaces over the years. Workstation Optimizer definitely isn't one of them. The program itself is very nice to look at, and very easy to navigate. Of course, you can't judge a book by its cover. So how good does it function?

From spending some time with Workstation Optimizer. I was highly impressed by it. I went into this thinking it's main feature was a registry cleaner. However, it has a LOT of different features to help optimize your PC. In addition to the registry cleaner, there is a disk defragmenter, spyware killer, file shredder, evidence cleaner, registry backup, program uninstaller, etc. There's an awful lot of tools here that are needed in fully protecting and optimizing your PC.

One thing I especially like is that Workstation Optimizer doesn't appear to just focus on keeping your computer at top speed. It also has the computers security in mind with the spyware killer. There is also a feature that lets you manage your internet plug-ins, block harmful ActiveX plugins, etc. These are very crucial things to do (especially blocking ActiveX plugins) when trying to keep your computer from becoming infected.

As far as all of the tools themselves, they all performed very well. The evidence cleaner and registry cleaner especially did a great job. But I didn't have any problems with any of the other tools either.

In conclusion, I highly recommend Workstation Optimizer. I can't believe I missed this when it was released. It has a LOT of tools, more then nearly every Registry Cleaner I can think of that I've tried. I'm definitely going to keep Workstation Optimizer on my computer, and I recommend others do the same.

Frontline Rogue Remover Review

Hey everyone! It has been awhile since I have updated this blog. A lot has been going on in my life lately. But don't worry, I haven't completely forgotten about all of my readers :). For this post, I decided I am going to review a program called Frontline Rogue Remover. Earlier tonight, I was looking online at some of the new software released in the last few weeks and Frontline Rogue Remover caught my eye. It is a type of software that I don't think I have ever come across before, so I decided to try it out and give my full Frontline Rogue Remover Review.

So what is Frontline Rogue Remover? In short, it scans your computer for fake anti-virus programs to remove. There are programs dedicated to removing spyware, viruses, etc. But there are no programs I can think of that actually scan your computer for fake anti-virus programs to remove. That is why I was so interested in Frontline Rogue Remover when I came across it tonight.

Those of you reading may be wondering why a program like this would be so important. However, fake anti-virus programs are a huge threat to a computers security. For instance, if you have a fake anti-virus program, it will be unlikely to actually detect any real viruses. Some fake anti-virus programs can also end up being viruses themselves. So it is especially important to not have any of these fake programs on your computer. So how do you find out if you have any of these fake anti-virus programs? That is where Frontline Rogue Remover comes in of course.

I went ahead and spent some time with Frontline Rogue Remover and I am definitely impressed by it. It does everything it says it does very well. Fortunately, I didn't have to use it to remove any fake anti-virus programs because I don't have any on this computer. However, from what I gather from other people, Frontline Rogue Remover did a good job at finding the fake anti-virus programs that they had. So it's accuracy and detection seems to be spot on.

Another thing I liked about Frontline Rogue Remover is that it appears to be frequently updated, which is important to protect your computer from the latest fake programs that pop up on the internet. This is of course very important.

One other thing I like about Frontline Rogue Remover is that the company themselves makes the guarantee that if Frontline doesn't fix your computer and get rid of the fake programs, the company themselves will fix it for free. That's a pretty cool guarantee lol, but most of the fake anti-virus programs aren't too difficult to remove if you are using software designed to remove them like this software. So it's unlikely you'll ever have to take the company up on their offer. Still reassuring though ;).

In short, I really like Frontline Rogue Remover and I highly recommend all of my readers check it out. If you have any concern whatsoever about fake anti-virus programs on your computer, then Frontline Rogue Remover is a must. Even if you use it and you find that your computer is safe now, keep it installed so that you don't deal with any problems in the future. Highly recommended!

Hey everyone! Back for another review :) I recently came across this program called SpeedyPC. I had never heard of it before but I thought it looked interesting. I decided I'd go ahead and do a SpeedyPC review in case any of my readers have heard about the product and want to know if it works.

First off, as you may guess, SpeedyPC is a program designed to speed up your PC. Computer optimization programs are pretty common these days, so it's often difficult to stand out from the crowd. So how does SpeedyPC do?

I went ahead and downloaded and installed SpeedyPC. It was a quick and painless download and installation, so let's get right to the program itself.

I spent about an hour with SpeedyPC. Here's what I've noticed.

The registry cleaner with SpeedyPC works really well. I was surprised just how much it found in my registry to clean. I was a bit hesitant to let it remove so much from my registry, but SpeedyPC did it with no problem.

SpeedyPC has a really nice interface. It's very easy on the eyes and it's very easy to access each feature.

I especially liked that in addition to the Registry Cleaner, SpeedyPC includes other tools. For instance, SpeedyPC includes a startup tuner so you can manage the items you run at start-up. This is very useful for removing unneeded startup items and speeding up your pc start time. It's very nice to see this included with SpeedyPC.

Also... I should note, SpeedyPC also has the option to make a backup should anything go wrong. That is very nice to have, and many people learn the hard way why you should always back things up.

In short, I really like SpeedyPC. It does an excellent job at speeding up your PC. If you are looking for a program to speed up your PC, definitely give SpeedyPC a look.

Windows Doctor Review

Hey everyone,

I decided I would go ahead and post something before I head off to bed. A friend of mine was recently asking about this software he came across called Windows Doctor. As some of my regular readers know, I often review a lot of system utility programs. I thought I had reviewed this software before, but it turns out I hadn't. So I spent some time earlier this evening messing with Windows Doctor and thought I would post a Windows Doctor Review in case any of my readers might be thinking of trying out this software.

So what is Windows Doctor? The name of the software is kinda self-explanatory. Windows Doctor is basically a software program to help fix any problems you might be having with your computer such as registry errors and low disk space. These types of programs are very popular. Some of them though aren't very good. So what about Windows Doctor?

After messing with Windows Doctor, I'm highly impressed by this software. It features a registry cleaner to clean your computer registry, a privacy cleaner, a system booster, and a system security scanner.

The registry cleaner is pretty self-explanatory. The privacy cleaner helps remove history tracks from your computer to protect your privacy. The system booster basically looks for various optimizations you can make to your computer to improve it's performance. And the system security scanner looks for vulnerabilities in your system that you should fix.

Although most people will focus on the registry cleaner, I actually really like the system booster and the security scanner. Sure, the registry cleaner works great, but I think the system booster is really cool and is perfect for computer novices that want some simple advice on changes to make to their system to increase it's performance. I'm also a big fan of the security scanner, since it can help computer novices keep their computer safer.

In short, I really like this software. If you are looking for this type of software to help optimize your PC, definitely give Windows Doctor a look.

Registry Mechanic Review

I recently came across this program called Registry Mechanic. As my regular readers know, I often like to review system optimization programs for the computer. I have reviewed many registry cleaners, but hadn't reviewed Registry Mechanic. So I figured I would go ahead and try it out and give my opinion. Consider this my Registry Mechanic review. :)

So what is Registry Mechanic? As I mentioned, Registry Mechanic appears to be a registry cleaner. The purpose of a registry cleaner is to go through your computer registry and fix any errors that are found. Registry errors can be the cause of many different types of computer problems. Because of this, having a registry cleaner can be very important to have.

Anyway, I went ahead and downloaded and installed Registry Mechanic. It was a fairly quick download and installation, so let's get right to trying out the software.

My first thought upon loading Registry Mechanic is that the interface looks really nice. There are no blinding colors or anything like that. The colors are easy on the eyes and all of the features are organized in an easy to use way.

I also looked through Registry Mechanic and noticed that Registry Mechanic has a lot of additional features. This isn't just a Registry Scanner. Registry Mechanic seems more of a full system optimization program. Some of the additional tools include defragging your registry, securely deleting files, protecting your privacy by deleting history tracks, manage your windows services, and more. Registry Mechanic really has a nice set of features.

As far as the registry scanner itself, the scanner performed very well and the results are displayed in an easy to understand way. The errors that are found are sorted into various categories. In addition, next to each error is a priority listing. This way, you know which errors you should let Registry Mechanic fix, and which you should maybe shouldn't bother with.

In short, I'm pretty impressed with Registry Mechanic. The registry cleaner performs well, and the feature list is top-notch. Highly recommended!

Privacy Eraser Pro Review

Hey everyone, back for a quick review before bed. I decided to try out Privacy Eraser Pro. I had heard about this a lot lately and had seen a few threads on a forum I visit regarding this software. So I figured I would go ahead and try it out and make this a Privacy Eraser Pro review.

What is Privacy Eraser Pro? Privacy Eraser Pro is a software program designed to protect your privacy. This is done through erasing your computer history tracks that are stored on your computer from websites you visit, files you open, etc. A lot of programs claims to delete your computer history. However, many of them do a poor job. So my expectations are low with this software.

I went ahead and downloaded and installed Privacy Eraser Pro. The download and installation was quick and painless, so let's get right to the software.

Upon loading the software, I see the program features at the top with various boxes representing each part of the program. I went through the various features and here are some of my thoughts.

First off... I am impressed at just what all is cleaned with Privacy Eraser Pro. Privacy Eraser Pro cleans every single thing I can think of that is important for protecting your privacy as well as many other things that I hadn't thought of. For instance, I hadn't thought of cleaning the Windows Swap File, but that could be very important.

Another thing I noticed is that the list of plug-ins is huge. There is a list of over 250 free plug-ins that you can use to also clean areas of other programs you might use. For instance there are plug-ins for adobe acrobat reader, Ad-aware, etc. I haven't seen a history cleaner with this many plug-ins.

I noticed Privacy Eraser Pro also supports cleaning your history by overwriting the files. This is very important to protect your privacy. If you simply delete your files, they can later be recovered. By overwriting them, it prevents these files from later being restored. Any true privacy protection software should include this feature and it's great to see it included with Privacy Eraser Pro.

In short, I am really impressed with Privacy Eraser Pro. The list of areas it cleans and the list of plug-ins it has is massive. If you are looking for a program to help clear your computer tracks, then you should definitely give Privacy Eraser Pro a try.

DriverCure Review

Hey everyone :)

I thought before bed that I would post a review of a new product that I tried out a few days ago. I had spent some time with it, and I decided to type up a review in case anyone might be looking for a program like this. The program is called DriverCure and this is my DriverCure review. :)

What is DriverCure? DriverCure is a program that helps you manage and update your computer drivers. Updating drivers is one of the most boring things you can do on a computer, this is assuming you even know how to do it. Updating driver isn't easy, and even the most advanced computer techs can have problems with updating drivers. DriverCure was made to take this task and make it as easy as possible.

Before I tried out DriverCure a few days ago, I had seen a few similar programs with the same general purpose. They weren't bad, but they weren't really great either. I figured DriverCure was going to be like those programs. But I was wrong. :)

After these last few days of messing with DriverCure, I really like this software. DriverCure makes it really easy to update your computer drivers. It has a list of thousands of software applications and hardware vendors. So you should have no problem finding drivers for the hardware and software that you need.

There are a couple other things about DriverCure that I really like. First off... DriverCure creates a system restore point so that you can revert back to your old drivers if you have any problems at all with new drivers. I can't stress enough how much I like this feature. It makes me feel a lot more comfortable with updating my drivers.

The other thing is that DriverCure includes the option of e-mailing you to notify you of any new driver updates for the programs that you use. I absolutely love this. I don't have to worry about scanning for new drivers every night or anything like that. I just know to scan when I receive an e-mail alert. I'm really glad this feature was included with DriverCure.

In short, as you can tell, I absolutely love DriverCure. It is by far the best driver updating program that I have ever tried. If you are looking to manage or update your computer drivers, definitely give DriverCure a try.

Data Recovery Pro Review

Hey everyone :)

I'm just about to go to bed, but I thought I would quickly do a review of a new program I came across. This program is called Data Recovery Pro. So consider this my Data Recovery Pro review. :)

What is Data Recovery Pro? As you might have guessed, it's a Data Recovery program :). Accidentally deleting files you need is a common mistake that many computer users make. Fortunately, it's sometimes possible to recover these files with special software such as Data Recovery Pro.

As my regular readers know, in the past I have reviewed a few data recovery programs. Unfortunately though, I didn't like most of them. They usually performed very poorly and would find very few files that it could recover. So before trying out Data Recovery Pro, I was rather skeptical. But, I went ahead and downloaded and installed Data Recovery Pro. So how is it?

I spent some time with Data Recovery Pro, and honestly, I am pretty impressed by it. I did a full scan of my computer with Data Recovery Pro. I was expecting Data Recovery Pro to find just a few files it could recover. Instead, Data Recovery Pro found over 500 files that it could recover. Image files, music files, etc. Data Recovery Pro found all different types. Some of these files I had deleted weeks ago. Obviously, I was very impressed with the scan results.

However, I noticed the scan time to be a little slow. It took a little while to complete the scan. However, like I mentioned, I had did a full scan. I am guessing that those that might use this to recover key files that they deleted won't mind waiting a few extra minutes if it means recovering the files.

That's about all to say about Data Recovery Pro. It's main purpose is to recover deleted files and it did an excellent job at that when I tried it. If you are looking to recover some of your files, or even to have a program like this around in case you ever need to use it, definitely give Data Recovery Pro a try.

RegCure Review

Hey everyone, back for another review! I was talking to my brother earlier, and he had mentioned that he had recently downloaded a program called RegCure. My ears perked up, since as my regular readers know, I've reviewed many registry cleaners. However, I hadn't had the chance to try out RegCure yet. I told him I hadn't tried it and he had recommended I try it out. So I figured I may as well post a review of this software as I try it out. So consider this my RegCure review. :)

First off.... what is RegCure? Well... as I mentioned, RegCure is a registry cleaner that is used for cleaning your computer registry. Keeping your registry optimized is very important to keeping your computer up to speed. I have reviewed many registry cleaners, so honestly, it's going to take a lot to impress me ;). But let's see :)

Anyway... I went ahead and downloaded and installed RegCure. It was fairly easy, so let's get right to the review.

My first impression upon loading RegCure is how easy it was on the eyes. I've come across some pretty bad looking software programs in the past, but thankfully RegCure isn't one of them. The colors are easy on the eyes, and it presents the features in an easy to understand way with the basic program features on the left side of the screen.

From there, I took some time and messed with RegCure. I am really impressed by RegCure and it's registry cleaner. This is the biggest feature of the program, so of course it's the most important. Thankfully it performs really well and also runs pretty quick. Unlike most virus scans, you aren't going to have to wait an hour while RegCure scans your computer. The scan is fairly quick and takes you right to a results screen where you can decide which errors you want to fix.

Also... RegCure has a couple additional features that I really like. One of them is that you can schedule automatic scans. This is really useful for making sure your computer is scanned frequently and this way you won't forget about using this software. This can also be useful if you know of a specific time each day (or week) that you will be away from the computer. You can set it to run a scan at this time and have it run a scan for you.

The other feature I liked is that a manage startup list feature was included. This lets you manage the list of items that run when you turn on your computer. This is one of the biggest causes for slowing down your PC start-up time. With this feature you can shorten that list of programs down to just a few which should easily improve your PC loading time. I'm really glad this feature was included.

In short... I like RegCure. I think it's a great Registry Cleaner. It may not be a full system optimization program, but it's a great Registry Cleaner. It's purpose is to clean your Registry, and it does a great job at it.

StopZilla Review

Hey everyone! I am back after a bit of an absence. Things have been pretty crazy. But I proposed to my girlfriend and she accepted! I did it while we were on a recent trip to Chicago. So obviously, I am very happy :)

Anyway... in my absence, I recently came across a few programs that I thought I would take a look at once I get the chance and post a review. One of these such programs is called StopZilla. I have actually heard about StopZilla a lot, but never got around to trying it out. I figured I would go ahead and try it now. So this is my StopZilla review.

First off... what is StopZilla? StopZilla is an anti-spyware program that works to prevent your computer from being infected by Spyware. Stopzilla offers a few different types of protection including real-time protection, regular scans, and pop-up protection.

I spent time trying out StopZilla, and I have been very impressed. To me, StopZilla isn't just a simple spyware scanner, StopZilla is a full system protection package. StopZilla has a lot of different features to help protect your computer. For instance, you have the option of making it so StopZilla stops your BHO's or Toolbars from being changed. This is one of the first things that most spyware programs try to change.

The pop-up protection also performed very well. StopZilla does well at blocking pop-ups but also making sure to let legitimate pop-ups load. I've noticed this being a problem occasionally when using the built-in pop-up blocker with FireFox. So it's nice to see that StopZilla does much better at it.

And finally... the actual spyware protection. The actual spyware protection did really well. Like I mentioned... the protection it provides is top-notch with monitoring key changes to your toolbars and BHO's. In addition though, I found the actual scanner to be very powerful and effective. If something does manage to slip through the real-time protection, you should have no problem in removing it with the scanner.

In closing... I really like StopZilla. I usually don't make too many recommendations when it comes to Anti-Spyware programs. I prefer to stick to using the same few programs. However, StopZilla is definitely a winner and is going to be one of my must have tools from now on.

DriverSmith Review

Hey everyone! Back after a bit of an absence. Been a bit more busy as of late now that summer has started. But anyway...earlier tonight I came across a new software program thats been released. This software is called DriverSmith. So I decided to do a DriverSmith review.

So what is DriverSmith? DriverSmith is a software program that scans your computer drivers and looks for any outdated drivers and will update them for you. Keeping your drivers updated isn't easy. And to be honest, even the most experienced PC Tech hates dealing with their computer drivers. It can be one of the most boring tasks. Because of this, a program like DriverSmith has a lot of potential. So does it hold up?

I went ahead and downloaded and installed DriverSmith. The installation file is just 1.5Megs, so it's a quick download and installation. With that, let's get right to taking a look at the actual software.

When opening up DriverSmith, I was greeted with a nice looking main menu that was fairly self-explanatory. There were options for the scan, the settings, about the program, etc. It's about what I expected for a program like DriverSmith. Since DriverSmith's big purpose isn't about having a huge list of features, but about maintaining your drivers and making it as simple as possible for you.

Anyway... the main purpose of DriverSmith is the scanner, so I went ahead and ran the DriverSmith scanner. It didn't take too long to scan my computer for outdated drivers, and there was a progress bar showing how much percentage had been complete, so I wasn't clueless about how long the scan would be taking. Once the scan is done, you are taken right to the results.

When DriverSmith displays the results, it shows a list of outdated drivers that was found on your computer. They are separated into different categories that the drivers fall under, such as "Display Adapters", "Network Adapters", etc. This is nicer then simply making a list of all the drivers that are outdated. This would be more confusing and you might not know what these outdated drivers main purpose is.

Anyway, from here, you are free to choose which drivers you want to update. You select the ones you want, and you click to download and install them. From there DriverSmith will download the drivers and install them. Its really handy and I really like this program.

Thats about all I have to say about DriverSmith. It's main purpose is finding outdated drivers and updating them for you and DriverSmith does a great job at this. If you need to update your drivers or you are just looking to maintain them, then definitely give DriverSmith a try.

Computerhelp.com Training Videos Review

Hey everyone!

I was just about to go to bed. But I wanted to do a review of this product I came across. Actually to be honest, a friend sent me the link and asked if I thought he should buy it. He's pretty new to computers :). But anyway, this interesting product called Computerhelp.com Training Videos. I figured I would do a Computerhelp.com Training Videos Review.

As you might be able to guess, this is going to be a positive review. I wouldn't go out of my way to make a post about a product I tried beforehand unless it was something I was going to recommend. Well... unless it was something so horrible I couldn't help but share my thoughts about it. Fortunately though, that's not the case with this product.

Computerhelp.com Training Videos is pretty self-explanatory. They are training videos designed to teach you various subjects when it comes to computers. I was amazed though when I looked at the depth that these training videos go. It covers information that beginners will want to know, but also information that even more advanced computer users may be interested in knowing. Information I learned by having to pay a fortune and learn it through college lol.

Anyway, so what exactly is included in this group of training videos? Well some of the sample topics include freeing up lost memory, how to fix modem issues, how to solve printer problems, installing ram, installing cd-rom drives, how to create boot disks, how to upgrade your computer, how to install hard drives etc. Like I said, it's a very indepth list of topics.

I should note, I was also really impressed with the high resolution quality of these videos. When it comes to showing various computer parts, the quality of the video is definitely crucial. Thankfully with this group of videos, the quality is very nice and left me no problem when it came to seeing objects in the video. I'm glad this company took the extra step in making these videos have a professional look.

But yeah, in closing, I highly recommend my readers check this out. If you are interested in fixing your computer to avoid the PC repair costs, upgrading it, or learning how to do new things with your computer, this is especially recommended.

Frontline Registry Cleaner Review

Hey everyone!

Back for another review :). Things have been crazy lately with the recent move to Michigan. I finally got to spend some time tonight on the computer though and came across a Registry Cleaner that I hadn't reviewed before. It's called Frontline Registry Cleaner.

As most of my friends and readers know, I have reviewed a lot of computer programs, and system optimization programs are probably the most common type of program I have reviewed. Since I hadn't tried Frontline Registry Cleaner though, I decided to go ahead and do a Frontline Registry Cleaner review.

For those of you wondering why you might want a system optimization program or a registry cleaner, they can be useful for speeding up your PC. Over time your PC can be cluttered with unneeded registry keys, unneeded files, etc. Programs like Front Line Registry Cleaner is made with the main purpose of cleaning your registry. So how does it do?

I went ahead and downloaded and installed Frontline Registry Cleaner. It's a very small download. Just 1.7MB. So you can easily download it if you happen to use dial-up. Installation was also quick and painless. With that, let's get right to the review.

Upon opening Frontline Registry Cleaner, I noticed that it's rather colorful. That's kinda a funny first thought to have, but I'm just being honest lol. The buttons leading to the various features were all different colors. It appears that Frontline Registry Cleaner went with a simple and colorful layout to make sure the program is easy to use. Nothing wrong with that.

I spent some time and looked through the various features that come with Frontline Registry Cleaner. The main features are the disk scanner/registry cleaner, and the Registry Defragger. It is nice that Frontline Registry Cleaner came with a Registry Defragger. Windows doesn't really come with one, and it's important to have in my opinion.

Also, I should note that Frontline Registry Cleaner also comes with a startup manager and the ability to make backups of your registry before you make changes to it with this software. Making up backups is a definite must when it comes to messing with your computer registry. Also glad to see that a backup feature comes with Frontline Registry Cleaner.

So how do the features perform? They seemed to perform quite well. When you run the scan, it scans both your files and registry and lists how much space you can free up and how many errors are in your registry. That makes it easier then just having to run two separate scans.

The start-up manager also works as it should as does the Registry Defrag. The startup manager is a very underrated feature. Managing the items that run on your computer when you turn it on is very important to speeding up your PC's boot time. Definitely make sure you use the startup manager if you decide to download this program.

In closing, I like Frontline Registry Cleaner. I think it's a good product. The only downside is maybe it could have included more additional features. If you are looking for a full system optimization program, you may want to check out my review of Registry Easy. But if you are looking for a good solid Registry Cleaner, definitely give Frontline Registry Cleaner a look.

PC Optimizer Pro Review

I recently came across this program called PC Optimizer Pro. Well actually, I had come across this software in the past. But I decided tonight to go ahead and review it. So consider this my PC Optimizer Pro Review :)

System optimization programs are VERY popular these days. There are so many different software programs claiming to speed up your computer. Figuring out which ones actually work and which aren't can be tricky to the average computer user. The average computer user doesn't want to spend hours and hours researching various programs. They just want to know the basics. Does the software work or not? That's the main question I'm setting out to answer with this review.

I went ahead and downloaded and installed PC Optimizer Pro. The download is quick and easy as was the installation. Even if you are on dial-up it shouldn't be a big problem. With that, let's get to the actual review.

Upon spending some time with PC Optimizer Pro, I am pretty impressed with this software program. As some of you know, I have reviewed many different system optimization programs. Unfortunately, many of them turned out to be junk. But I don't consider PC Optimizer Pro one of them.

PC Optimizer Pro comes with a registry cleaner which I really like. It can be very important to keep your registry clean. If not, your registry can fill up with errors and unneeded entries that slow down your computer. Cleaning your registry is one of the most important steps in optimizing your PC, and I am glad that PC Optimizer Pro includes a Registry Cleaner.

PC Optimizer Pro also came with a file shredder and tracks eraser. The tracks eraser is used for cleaning your internet history which ends up giving you more privacy and freeing up junk from your hard drive. You know... sometimes when people are out of hard drive space, the first thing they do is start deleting their programs. I tell them though, first delete your internet history! You would be surprised how much space you can save from cleaning your internet tracks. This is definitely another crucial step in optimizing your PC.

The file shredder overwrites files you delete multiple times. This makes it so that it is much harder to recover the files after they have been deleted. For instance, if you have any sensitive documents with your banking information, you definitely would want to use the file shredder so that some nosy person can't recover your file and steal your information later on.

Also, another thing I really liked about PC Optimizer Pro is that it comes with a program uninstaller. This helps you to uninstall unneeded programs on your computer. You may be wondering why you need something like this since Windows comes with Add/Remove programs. Unfortunately though, Windows Add/Remove Programs can be very buggy and not always completely remove the software. Using this uninstall program feature with PC Optimizer Pro is definitely a better alternative then the Windows Add/Remove program.

In all, that about wraps up my review. I really liked PC Optimizer Pro and I think it does a great job at cleaning and optimizing your PC. If you are looking for a system optimization program, definitely give PC Optimizer Pro a look.

Wise Drivers Review

Hey everyone!

It's been awhile since I've posted anything. Things have been busy the last few weeks with moving out of state. But the move is complete and I am starting to settle in.

Anyway... tonight I was browsing the net and looking for some new software to try. I came across Wise Drivers and decided to try it. I had heard some good things about this piece of software from some friends, so I figured I would go ahead and try it out for myself and post a Wise Drivers review.

For those of you who are wondering what Wise Drivers is, Wise Drivers is a program that scans your computer and figures out the latest drivers that you might need to update. Wise Drivers then downloads the updated drivers and installs them. It sounds like a very useful idea. But does it work well? Time to find out...

I went ahead and downloaded and installed Wise Drivers. It was a quick download and installation. The download was just a little over 2 megabytes. So even those of you who may still be on Dial-Up shouldn't have a problem downloading Wise Drivers. Anyway let's get to the actual software.

Upon loading Wise Drivers, I noticed the interface is very simple which is to be expected from this type of software. On the left are the buttons "Scan", "Download", "Settings", and "About". These are all pretty self-explanatory, so I don't really need to go into them.

There isn't a lot to really talk about with Wise Drivers. It's not an advanced 3D game or package of system utilities. It's main purpose is to update your drivers. Simple as that. So let's get right to the scan...

Once the scan started, I noticed Wise Drivers was scanning for many different types of drivers. System board, system speakers, motherboard resources, etc. I was happy to see that Wise Drivers was doing a fairly in-depth scan and not just a quick simple scan.

Upon the scan finishing, I was taken to a list of drivers I needed to update and was able to pick which drivers to update. How does Wise Drivers update them? Well, it turns out Wise Drivers has an online database of more than 100,000 drivers and is constantly updated. Because of this, Wise Drivers is able to easily find the drivers you need to update them on your PC.

In all... I really like Wise Drivers. I don't have much else to say about this software. It's very simple but effective. It's purpose is to update your drivers, and it does an excellent job at that. Good stuff!

But yeah, I'm going to go ahead and recommend this to all of my readers. If you need to update your drivers, definitely give Wise Drivers a look.

PC MedKit Review

Ok, before I go to bed I thought I'd take a look at this new program that was released. This program is called PC MedKit, so I am going to do a PC MedKit Review.

Now honestly, I have tried out wayyyy too many PC Optimization programs lol. But I am kinda excited to check out PC MedKit. You might be wondering why that is. Well... PC MedKit was created by the same company that created the popular "Driver Robot" software. I reviewed Driver Robot a few months back and absolutely loved it. So I have high expectations for this PC MedKit software.

Real quick though, I should probably explain what PC MedKit is for those of you who aren't clear what it is. PC MedKit (appears to be) another program that helps to optimize your PC. This is usually done through cleaning up your registry, your files, etc. Like I mentioned, i've reviewed a lot of these programs. So it takes a lot to impress me lol. Anyway, onto trying out PC MedKit....

I went ahead and downloaded and installed PC MedKit. It was a quick installation, so let's get right to the software.

Upon loading PC MedKit, I'm pretty impressed by how it look. It's got a very high-tech blue look. Also on the left it lists some information about your computer such as the amount of ram, processor, etc. It's got a nice layout.

At the top, you will find buttons that take you to some of the other features of this program. For instance, there is a startup manager, services manager, processes manager, and PC Health.

I was curious what PC Health was so I took a look. It basically has bar charts showing you things such as your current ram usage, CPU Usage, and number of processes. It's interesting to look at.

But yeah, now we come to the Registry Cleaner. This is the main feature of PC MedKit. After scanning my computer with the Registry Cleaner, I was very impressed with it. The Registry Cleaner found a LOT of Registry Errors. More then most other Registry Cleaners found.

Anyway, in all I am pretty impressed with PC MedKit. If you want a powerful Registry Cleaner, then I'd give PC MedKit a look.

PrivacyControl Review

Hey everyone! It's 1AM and I can't sleep. You know what that means... time for another review. lol :). I recently came across this program called PrivacyControl. PrivacyControl appears to be an internet usage tracks remover. So I figured I would go ahead and check it out and do a PrivacyControl review.

Protecting your privacy is obviously something that you need to focus on. Most advanced internet users are aware that when they visit websites, the history of their web browsing is saved. It is generally a good idea though to delete this history. This isn't just to protect your privacy, but also to free up disk space. So how do you go about deleting your usage tracks? You can do it manually, or you can use a program to do it for you. That's where PrivacyControl comes in.

I took a look at PrivacyControl and I was very impressed by all the usage tracks it cleans. Although it's not a full system optimization programs, for it's purpose, it does a great job at it. PrivacyControl will clear a lot of usage tracks, Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera, Messengers, P2P programs, e-mail programs, etc. PrivacyControl does a great job of making sure to delete your usage tracks.

Also... one other thing I liked about PrivacyControl is that it includes a secure erase. This involves overwriting the files it deletes multiple times so that they can't be recovered. If you are worried about your privacy, then that is definitely a must. Great to see it included with PrivacyControl.

Anyway, in wrapping this review up, I'm going to go ahead and recommend PrivacyControl. If you are looking for software to remove your usage tracks, then definitely give PrivacyControl a look. Good luck!

Web Design Mastery Review

Hey everyone :)

I'm getting ready for bed but I came across a really interesting Website Design course online. It is called Website Design Mastery. I thought it looked really interesting, and since I am in the web business, I decided I would go ahead and take a look at Website Design Mastery and give my thoughts on it. Consider this a Website Design Mastery review. :)

Website Design is a very popular topic these days. The bookstores are filled with dozens of books, there are hundreds of courses online, and thousands of videos on the internet. Unfortunately, a lot of this information can be very confusing or just plain inaccurate. Knowing this, I was pretty skeptical going into my review of Web Design Mastery, but, I went ahead and looked through this course.

So... after looking at this course... how do I feel about it? Honestly... I am really impressed with the information that is included in this course. This is not just a simple 100 page e-book. This is a large collection of information. I counted around 14-15 different e-book files all packaged into this one course. This course covers everything. Planning your website, HTML, Web Hosting, FTP, Javascript, CSS, etc. Like I said, this is very in-depth. If you are wanting to learn the in's and out's of web design in just a few pages, then you are going to be disappointed here. But you will be disappointed in general, because there is no way everything can be taught in just a few pages. I'm glad that Web Design Mastery did not leave anything to the imagination.

Another thing I really liked is 12 videos that are included in this course on HTML. All together, it's well over 2 hours of information, and the videos are very useful. The HTML Meta Tags video is especially nice.

Also... one other thing I liked is that this course includes a large number of bonuses. I noticed an HTML editor that was included in the bonuses, also there were 100+ templates, so it's definitely nice to see those included.

But yeah... in all I think this is a really great Web Design course. If you have any interest in learning Web Design, then I highly recommend this course. Good luck!

RegSweep Review

Hey everyone... back for another review! As all of my readers know... I love to review system utility programs. However, I haven't spent as much time lately reviewing these types of programs. But I just came across a program called RegSweep. So I am going to do a RegSweep review.

RegSweep is another Registry Cleaner that has been released onto the market. Registry Cleaners have become very popular these days. It's not easy for a Registry Cleaner to stand out among others, so will RegSweep stand out? Time to find out..

I went to the company website and attempted to download RegSweep. It didn't work. I tried 5 different times, and not a single time could I get it to download. Weird...

So that's going to wrap up this review. One of my shortest reviews ever lol :). I can't really give my thoughts on RegSweep since I didn't get to try it. But if the company can't even get the download link working correctly, I don't think I would trust this company's Registry Cleaner with your system. Easy System Cleaner Review

Hey everyone. I thought I'd go ahead and quickly do a review :). I just came across this program called Easy System Cleaner. Since I seem to love checking out system utility and system cleaner programs, I thought I would go ahead and check out Easy System Cleaner and give my thoughts on it. So consider this my Easy System Cleaner review. :)

Using software to clean your internet tracks has become more and more popular. There are many different reasons to clear your internet tracks. Perhaps you are worried about your privacy. Or perhaps you just want to free up some disk space. Either reason is important. With that, there has been software released that helps you clear up your internet tracks. Easy System Cleaner is one such software program. So how does it do?

I went ahead and downloaded and installed Easy System Cleaner. It's a quick and easy download and installation. So with that, let's get right to Easy System Cleaner.

I went ahead and ran Easy System Cleaner. Upon loading, Easy System Cleaner began scanning my system for usage tracks to remove. The scan didn't take very long, and so... here came the results.

And the results? Around 1,500 items were found to be removed. I was pretty surprised actually. I usually delete my temporary internet files daily. It definitely looks like I have been missing some areas on my computer when it comes to deleting my usage tracks and clearing up space.

I also noticed that Easy System Cleaner also found some temporary files. These are different then Temporary Internet Files. Temporary files are files that may not be usage tracks, but still are left over from old programs and just sit there taking up hard drive space. I was pleasantly surprised that Easy System Cleaner found some of these.

One more note... Easy System Cleaner also comes with an uninstaller. So you can use it to uninstall programs you have on your computer. I guess it goes with the whole freeing up disk space idea that Easy System Cleaner was built around. Either way, it's a nice additional feature.

Well... in wrapping this up, I recommend my readers check out Easy System Cleaner. It may not have all of the features that a full system optimization program would have, but for clearing your internet tracks or freeing up hard drive space, Easy System Cleaner is a must.

Driver Detective Review

Hey everyone, back for another review. I recently came across this program called Driver Detective. It is a program that helps you locate updated drivers on the internet to download for your computer. I figured I would go ahead and check this out and let you all know what I think. So consider this a Driver Detective review. :)

Managing your computer drivers can be difficult. Not just for those with little experience with computers, but even with professionals it can be difficult. Lately, software has started popping up that lets you update your computer drivers. Driver Detective is one of these programs. So does it work?

I went ahead and downloaded and installed Driver Detective. It was a quick and painless download and installation. Even if you happen to be on dial-up, you should have no problem downloading Driver Detective. The installation file for Driver Detective was only around 1MB.

With that, I went ahead and ran Driver Detective. The first thing Driver Detective did was take me right to the scan. The scan was really quick and only took about 10 seconds. After that, I was shown a list of all of the drivers on my computer and how many were outdated. I had 27 up to date drivers, 8 system drivers, and 11 out of date drivers. I wouldn't have guessed that I had that many out of date drivers.

Anyway, from there the software will attempt to download and install all of the latest drivers that you need. It is a quick and easy way to update your drivers. I really like it.

With that... I'm not sure what else to say about Driver Detective. It's main purpose is to update your drivers, and it does a great job at that. If you are looking to update or manage your drivers, definitely check out Driver Detective.

Supreme Spy Review

Hey everyone! Back for another post... :) And for this post I actually decided I would go ahead and do another review. However this review is going to be a bit different. Usually whenever I do reviews, I do reviews on system utility programs or software like it. This time though, I am going to do a review on a Computer Monitoring Software called Supreme Spy. So consider this my Supreme Spy review. :)

For those of you wondering what exactly Supreme Spy is... basically Supreme Spy is a program that can be used to monitor your PC and track what all happens. This can be very useful if you have kids for instance. Many parents are worried about what their children might be up to on the internet. Software like Supreme Spy will tell them everything that is going on while their children are on the internet.

Now... is something like this okay to use on your computer without your kids knowing? That could turn into quite the debate. But I am not here to give my opinion on that. That decision is up to the parent. I am just doing this review for those that might be interested in this.

So anyway... I went ahead and spent some time with Supreme Spy. Honestly... I was pretty impressed with it. There were a few things I noticed.

First off... Supreme Spy records a lot. Supreme Spy records keystrokes, e-mails, programs used, websites visited, etc. If you are wondering what all your children are doing on the internet, you will definitely get the answer with a program like Supreme Spy and it's feature list.

I noticed that Supreme Spy has the option of e-mailing the logs to an e-mail address. This could be very useful. For instance... if you are at work and your children are home, you could be e-mailed the logs to Supreme Spy and you could find out from work what all your children have been up to. That can be very convinient.

Also I should note, Supreme Spy can take screenshots of your screen as well. So not only are you reading simple logs of what all is going on, but you can also see actual screenshots taken of your computer and what all your children were seeing. It's a much more visual way to get an idea of what all was going on. Very impessive...

Like I said... whether it's okay to use software like this is up to the parent. But if you are considering using software like this to keep your children safe on the internet, I highly recommend you check out Supreme Spy.

SpyRecon Review

Ok, it's time to do another review! As regular readers of this blog know, I usually focus on system utility programs when it comes to reviews. However lately I have decided to look at other types of software to review. I recently came across a program called SpyRecon. I thought it looked interesting so I decided to do a SpyRecon review.

A lot of you may be wondering what SpyRecon is. Basically, SpyRecon is a spy software designed to be used to spy on your children (or spouse). Now... I'm not going to get into the debate on if something like this is ok to use or not. Legally... you can only use it on your own computer of course. But should you use software like this on your kids? As a parent, that is your call. Some parents are worried about the dangers of the internet, and so they decide to install software like this to make sure their kids stay safe. It's your call though since you know your children better than anyone.

So anyway... continuing on with my review. I went ahead and spent some time with SpyRecon. Here are some of my thoughts I have about it...

First off... wow... this software records a lot of information. This isn't just a simple keystroke monitor. Besides logging keystrokes, SpyRecon also monitors login names and passwords, IM conversations, URL's, etc. If you are worried that your children might be up to something on the internet, this software should definitely help you find out what's going on with all of what it tracks.

I noticed some other additional features. For instance, you can have it run secretly in the background so your kids don't know. You can have it run at startup when you turn on the computer. You can send logs with the program to any e-mail address. It also takes screenshots of the screen, so you can see visually exactly how things looked. Like I said... this software tracks a lot.

Anyway... I don't really have much else to say about SpyRecon. It's got a very impressive feature list. Like I said before... I'm not going to get into the debate of if something like this is ok to use or not. That is up to the parent. But if you are a parent and you've made the decision that you need a piece of software like SpyRecon to help keep your kids safe, then I definitely recommend you check this out.

PC Pandora Review

Hey everyone, back for another post, and another review actually! As regular readers know, I usually do reviews about system cleaners and system optimization programs. However, this time I am going to do a review about a a piece of software called PC Pandora. PC Pandora is a computer monitoring software designed to be used on your computer when your children use it. I have actually done a review of a couple other similar programs, but I thought I would go ahead and take a look at PC Pandora and do a PC Pandora Review.

First off... I am not going to get into the debate of if using software like this is appropriate or not. That is up to the parent to decide, and this is something I have mentioned before. As a parent, if you feel you should use something like this then that is your choice. I am just using this review to tell you if I think PC Pandora is a good piece of software or not.

Anyway... I went ahead and took a look at PC Pandora and spent some time with it. First thing I have to say is wow... PC Pandora does a really excellent job at monitoring your PC. If your kids were ever up to anything, I think you would easily be able to find out. I noticed that PC Pandora includes Web Surfing recording, Keystroke recording, Chat Messenger recording, E-mail recording, P2P recording, Webcam Capture, etc. In short, PC Pandora seems to pretty much record everything.

I also noticed some other features included with PC Pandora. For instance, you can make a list of websites to block. There is chat control blocking. You can also password protect the program. Also of course, like most PC monitoring programs, PC Pandora includes a stealth option so that it can run without ever being detected by your kids. You also have the option though of telling your kids up front and not using the stealth option. Also... you can have the reports sent to your e-mail if you happen to be away.

One other note, PC Pandora appears to have really excellent tech support. There is e-mail support, Livechat support, Online help, and an FAQ. So if you have any problems, you should be able to get them sorted out quickly.

In all, for it's use, I think PC Pandora is a great program. It's not something I plan to use, but for parents looking for a type of software like this, I definitely give two thumbs up for PC Pandora.

Podnutz Laptop Repair Review

Hey everyone, thought I would go ahead and do another post. It's really warm out (80's!) and I know I should be outside, but I had come across something interesting online that I wanted to review. Yep, that's definitely a sign that I spend too much time on the computer. :) Anyway, as I was saying. I came across this video collection. It's called Podnutz Laptop Repair. So I'm going to do a Podnutz laptop repair review.

Regular readers of my blog know that when I do reviews I usually review system utility programs or similar types of software. In fact, I rarely ever do reviews for something that isn't software related. But I'm going to make the exception here since I found this really interesting.

Basically... Podnutz laptop repair is a large collection of videos that teach you how to repair a laptop computer. This is useful for many reasons obviously. Perhaps you have a laptop computer that is having some computer problems. Fixing it yourself is obviously going to be a lot cheaper then taking it into a computer store. Maybe you are thinking of buying a laptop soon, and you want to know a bit about how to handle any issues that come with it, that's where this collection of videos comes in.

When it comes to videos teaching you how to repair your laptop, I would normally be a little skeptical. After all, I've seen my fair share of video tutorials on YouTube. Most of them are pretty bad quality. So I was a little hesitant at first about this collection of videos. But I went ahead and took a look.

Anyway, after taking a look, I can say that I highly recommend Podnutz Laptop Repair. There definitely isn't any issue with video quality as the video quality is HD quality. There is also a large amount of videos. This isn't just a few videos. I counted at least 40 different videos. These videos explain so many different topics. For instance, these videos teach you how to replace CD/DVD drives, motherboards, hard drives, LCD Screens, taking the laptop apart, where to buy parts, etc etc. I was definitely impressed by the wide range of topics that were covered in these videos. In all, there had to be at least 10 hours of video.

Simple PHP Review

Well... here is something I've never done before. I'm going to talk a bit about this e-book I came across. Usually when it comes to reviews, I stick to reviewing software. And as most of my readers know, I usually review system optimization programs. But I came across this interesting e-book called Simple PHP. And so I thought I would do a Simple PHP Review.

First off... if you have no idea what PHP is... then you probably aren't going to be interested in this review. So you may as well move onto reading something else ;). But those that are interested in learning PHP or work with PHP will definitely be interested in this.

Anyway... like I said, I'm going to talk a bit about Simple PHP. I spent some time and took a look at Simple PHP and I must say I'm pretty impressed by this.

In case you haven't figured it out, Simple PHP is an e-book designed to teach you PHP. Obviously knowing PHP can be a major skill to have. Perhaps you use this knowledge to get a job working with it for some company. Or perhaps you want to just understand better how to install PHP scripts on your website. Either way... if you are interested in learning PHP, I recommend taking a serious look at this e-book.

Although it's an e-book, I hate to call it that. Because I noticed there is so much more then just a simple book. There are also 5 hours of training videos, there are games, quizzes, etc. It really seems to be a nice package and a great way of learning PHP. I remember when I first tried to learn Visual Basic from this huge book I got from the library. It was so dry and boring. I really wish it had training videos and quizzes like this e-book for learning PHP.

But yeah... I guess now I'm kinda rambling :). Anyway... for my readers who are interested in learning PHP (and I know there probably might not be many), consider checking out Simple PHP. I highly recommend it.

My Porn Blocker Review

Thought I'd do a quick post before I get to bed. It's pretty late :). I recently came across this software called My Porn Blocker. I thought it looked kinda interesting. Besides I'm sick of talking about system utility programs I come across ;). So anyway, I'm going to go ahead and do a My Porn Blocker Review.

First off... some of you might be wondering what My Porn Blocker is. Well... it's pretty self-explanatory. My Porn Blocker is computer software that claims to help you protect your computer from porn. This could be beneficial for parents who are concerned about what their children might come across on the internet.

Now... being that I am not married nor do I have kids, this isn't really software that I would ever need to use. Regardless though, I know many of my readers have families, so I figured I'd go ahead and look at My Porn Blocker.

I must say, after looking at My Porn Blocker, I am pretty impressed by it. Often with regular parental control software, the software might not be up to date. The internet is constantly changing. It's possible when you buy some parental control software that it might not be able to block file sharing. Or... it might use an old list of websites to block out, etc. That doesn't seem to be the case with My Porn Blocker though.

I noticed a few other things with My Porn Blocker. One... it blocks over 50 file sharing programs. I found that to be pretty impressive. Actually... it'd be pretty impressive to even name 50 file sharing programs, let alone block them lol. But I really liked that My Porn Blocker has the option of blocking file sharing programs. After all, you can't just get porn from the world wide web. You can also get it from file sharing programs. Many parents forget that...

My Porn Blocker also works with all of the major browsers (IE, Firefox, Opera, etc). Obviously, this is a good thing. Although I don't know how many kids would really be using Opera or Firefox ;).

Also... My Porn Blocker comes with a 60 day money back guarantee. I am really glad about that. I hate that some software companies don't have any type of money back guarantee with their software. They say it works and if it doesn't for you, then you are screwed. Thankfully though with this software if parents aren't satisfied, they can get a full refund. More companies really need to do this.

Anyway... in wrapping this up, I'm pretty impressed with My Porn Blocker. If you have kids at home and you are looking for software to block porn from getting to your computer, definitely give My Porn Blocker a look.

FixCleaner Review

Well... before I start this review. I just wanted to let all my readers know I am going to be going on a vacation here soon. It will only be for a week though, so I'll be back to posting soon :).

Before I go on vacation however I thought I would do one more review. A friend recently sent me a link to this software product called FixCleaner. He asked me if I would recommend the software. Since I hadn't tried it out, I told him I would go ahead and try FixCleaner and give him my opinion. But after taking a look at FixCleaner, I decided I would go ahead and also type up a review for this blog. So consider this a FixCleaner Review. :)

Well first off... some of you might be wondering, "What is FixCleaner?" FixCleaner is basically a system optimization program. It's main purpose is to optimize your PC and keep it up to speed. A lot of programs claim to do this, and as my readers know, I have reviewed a lot of these different types of program. Most of them I find to be useless and make very little difference with your computer. So going into looking at FixCleaner, I wasn't very optimistic about it. However, after messing around awhile with FixCleaner, I came out very impressed.

My first impression upon looking at FixCleaner was that it had quite the list of features. FixCleaner has numerous different tools when it comes to optimizing your PC. Here is the full list of tools that come with FixCleaner:

As you can see, it's a pretty impressive feature list. I had went through and tried out each individual tool. One thing I really liked was the Optimize Memory feature. The Optimize Feature basically works to Optimize your current RAM usage to free up RAM. This is a really nice tool and in my opinion should come with every computer.

Another tool I liked is the Disk Defrag. Some of you may be wondering what the point is of using the FixCleaner Defrag when Windows comes with a Disk Defrag. However, just because both are Disk Defrag programs doesn't mean they work the same way. I personally found FixCleaners Disk Defrag to perform better then the Windows Disk Defrag.

Other tools that I also really liked were the Registry Cleaner which helps clean up your computer registry. The startup manager is also nice, this tool lets you manage the items that run when you turn on the computer. Seriously, this is one of the most important tools you can have. If you have 20 things running when you turn on the computer, it's no surprise that your computer might take 20 minutes to load. You can change your startup items in Windows, but it's a rather difficult process. Thankfully this tool makes that task MUCH easier.

Like I said though, I really liked every single tool that FixCleaner came with and they all performed well. The only tool that you might not NEED to use is the "remove privacy data", as this is more so geared towards those who are concerned about their privacy.

In conclusion, I'm really glad I checked out FixCleaner and I find it to be an impressive program of tools to help you speed up your computer. I initially took a look at FixCleaner just to help a friend, but in addition to him using it now, I'm going to use FixCleaner as well. Highly recommended!

Registry Corrector Review

And I'm back :-D. You know... I recently realized that I am now into year 3 of this blog. I started this in 2008. I want to thank all my readers who have continued to support me. You guys are the best. :-D

Anyway... for this post I decided I am going to go ahead and do a Registry Corrector Review. Registry Corrector is a new Registry Cleaner I came across. And since I have reviewed dozens and dozens of programs since I started this blog, why not review Registry Corrector? :)

I went ahead and quickly downloaded and installed Registry Corrector. The installation was painless (as it should be) and so let's get right to taking a look at Registry Corrector.

Upon loading Registry Corrector, I noticed that it has a pretty nice interface. It looks very clean and professional. It's simple, yet it seems to have a lot of additional features. The usual features like a Registry Cleaner and Evidence Cleaner are here. But there are also some additional features that I don't usually come across. For instance I notice a feature to block harmful ActiveX plugins from getting on your system. That is something that more system utility programs should really be including. It's great to see that it comes included with Registry Corrector. Also, I see features to backup your computer drivers, internet favorites, etc. This is the first time that I can recall that I have come across a Registry Cleaner that includes this. I like that. Anyway, here is the full feature list from what I have seen:

As you can see, it's a fairly big feature list. Registry Corrector comes across to me as not just a Registry Cleaner, but a full system optimization program. Very impressive.

So how do the actual features themselves do? They seem to perform very well. All of the features that I tried performed very well. The Registry Cleaner did a great job at finding Registry Errors.

Anyway, Ill go ahead and wrap this review up. In short, I really like Registry Corrector and I recommend my readers check it out. If your computer is acting kinda slow or you just want to keep it optimized, definitely check this out.

PC Darling Review

As more and more registry cleaners and system optimization tools are released, the program names get more and more interesting. I'm not exactly sure how the company came up with the name of this program called PC Darling, however I have decided I am going to check it out and review this product. Consider this a PC Darling Review. :-D

Ok. I went ahead and downloaded and installed PC Darling. Thankfully it was quick and painless. If only more software was like that :-D. But let's get right to the program itself.

Upon opening PC Darling, my first impression was that it looks like PC Darling has a lot of additional features. This is a good thing of course. The interface is also really nice. Compare that to the last Registry Cleaner I reviewed which was absolutely horrible and looked like it was designed in the early 90's lol. But yeah... as far as the interface PC Darling looks really nice.

Now to the additional features that I just mentioned. Here is a list of features I see with PC Darling: Registry Cleaner, Evidence Cleaner, Junk Cleaner, File Shredder, Patch & Update, Startup Manager, Uninstall Manager, System Optimizer, Service Optimizer, Memory Optimizer, BHO Manager, and Backup. As you can see, it's a pretty impressive feature list. Here are my experiences with each feature...

Registry Cleaner - The Registry Cleaner is pretty self-explanatory. It cleans your Registry which is probably what most people are looking to use PC Darling for. After running the Registry Cleaner, it found a higher then normal amount of errors when compared to other Registry Cleaners I've tried. I really liked this Registry Cleaner.

Evidence Cleaner - Goes through your computer and removes internet tracks, leftover instant message logs, etc. Fairly simple feature, yet very useful if you worry about your privacy.

Junk Cleaner - Similar to the Evidence Cleaner, except it just looks for junk files to remove. These junk files will mostly consist of .tmp files or read me files. Worked good for me.

File Shredder - This feature overwrites files multiple times before deleting them. This is for if you are especially worried about your privacy. For instance, if you want to remove a file with your credit card information, you can use this feature so that someone that's nosy couldn't recover this file with your credit card information.

Patch & Update - Scans for the latest Windows Patches. It's nice that this was included, however I still prefer just using Internet Explorer to get my Windows Patches.

Startup Manager - Gives you a list of programs set to run when you turn on the computer. That way you can disable unneeded programs and speed up the time it takes to load Windows. Fairly simple and straight forward.

Uninstall Manager - Gives you a list of programs that are installed on your computer and lets you remove any programs you don't like. Basically the same as Windows Add/Remove Program Manager.

System Optimizer - Gives you a list of various aspects of your computer that you can optimize. For example, do you want your desktop to have the best appearance possible? Or would you prefer it runs as quick as possible? System Optimizer has that list to choose from.

Service Optimizer - Gives you a list of services that run on your computer that you can disable. I recommend this only for advanced users. If you are new to computers, I would stay away from this feature. It's nice that this feature is included for more advanced users though. I've never seen this feature included in a Registry Cleaner.

Memory Optimizer - Gives you the option to free up memory by defragging your memory. Nice feature to include.

Backup - Lets you backup changes you make to the computer with PC Darling.

Anyway, in wrapping up this review, I really like PC Darling if you haven't noticed. I admit, I was a bit skeptical of this software because of it's name. But there is no reason to be skeptical, PC Darling is a powerful program that will help you optimize and speed up your PC. Have fun!

RegistryMum Review

Well... for this post I was going to do a RegistryMum Review. RegistryMum is a Registry Cleaner I recently came across. However... this is going to be probably my shortest review ever lol.

I went ahead and downloaded RegistryMum. However, when I went to install it, I was notified by Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2010 that the RegistryMum installation file contains a virus.

If I had to guess, I would say that it's just a false alarm. However I don't feel like taking any chances. I suggest that my readers don't take any chances either. Go ahead and stay away from this piece of software until it comes up all clear among anti-virus programs.

For now... I'll continue recommending Registry Easy and Registry Winner.

PAL Registry Cleaner Review

Back for another post! :-D. This time I'm going to do a Registry Cleaner review. I came across this new software called PAL Registry Cleaner and decided I would go ahead and take a look at it and post what I think. So this is officially a PAL Registry Cleaner Review lol :)

I went ahead and downloaded and installed PAL Registry Cleaner. It was a fairly quick download. So I'm going to go ahead and get right to the review.

My first thoughts when I looked at PAL Registry Cleaner was that it has a horrible interface. With a Registry Cleaner, it's more about how it performs of course. But many beginners use Registry Cleaners. It's usually good to have a simple but pretty interface. PAL Registry Cleaner doesn't have that. It looks like it was designed 15 years ago lol.

Another observation about PAL Registry Cleaner... where are the additional features? I don't see any. I know it's a Registry Cleaner, but most Registry Cleaners have additional features to help you maintain your computer speed. PAL Registry Cleaner doesn't seem to have any additional features. I see a Registry Cleaner... and that's it.

As far as the Registry Cleaner itself, it found a less then average amount of errors compared to other Registry Cleaners I've tried. Not impressive at all.

But yeah, in conclusion, I'm going to keep this simple... don't bother with PAL Registry Cleaner. There is no reason to try this Registry Cleaner. If you want a good Registry Cleaner, I'll continue to recommend Registry Winner or Registry Easy.

SecureUninstaller Review

Hey everyone I'm back! I really need to try to update more often lol. It's been a crazy few weeks. From lots of car trouble to falling in love. Life is crazy sometimes lol :). Anyway... hopefully things will start to get back to normal and I can go back to regularly updating.

Anyway, for this post I am going to go ahead and do a SecureUninstaller Review. Lately the issue with having trouble removing software is becoming more and more common. More and more software programs are also popping up that attempt to fix these issues. SecureUninstaller is another such program that was recently released. So I am going to go ahead and do a review. :)

Before I started writing this post, I went ahead and quickly downloaded and installed SecureUninstaller. It was a quick and painless download and installation. Even if you use dial-up, you shouldn't have a problem with downloading SecureUninstaller.

Ok, let's get right to looking at SecureUninstaller. I went ahead and opened up SecureInstaller. SecureUninstaller has a really nice interface. It's very clean and very simple. On the left are 3 buttons, Program List, Restore Programs, and Settings. They are fairly self-explanatory.

One feature I noticed that I really liked is in the settings section. Basically, you can choose how thorough you want SecureUninstaller to remove a piece of software. There is a Standard Uninstall, a Complete Uninstall, and a Thorough Uninstall. Here are the differences between them.

Standard Uninstall - Removes the program using Windows Add/Remove Program Manager.

Complete Uninstall - Uninstalls the software and scans parts of your computer where programs often leave leftover tracks to fully remove the software including leftover tracks.

Thorough Uninstall - Like a Complete Uninstall, however, it scans even deeper then the Complete Uninstall on your computer to fully remove the piece of software.

Anyway, I am going to go ahead and wrap up this review. In short, I think SecureUninstaller is a really cool program. SecureUninstaller does a great job at removing software on your computer. It's also the first uninstaller I've seen that offers multiple uninstall options. Wanting to remove a small simple program? Just go with the Standard or Complete Uninstall. Wanting to remove a monster program like America Online? Then you have the Thorough Option. If only Windows offered you these options.

Error Expert Review

Ok, I was looking through a list of some recently released software. I came upon one program called Error Expert. I realized I hadn't reviewed it, so I'm going to go ahead and do an Error Expert Review.

Upon seeing the name, I had an idea what Error Expert might be. I figured it would be another program that claims to fix errors on your computer. These programs usually work by removing registry entries, cleaning up your hard drive space, etc. After taking a look at Error Expert, it appears that I am right :-D.

However, this isn't a bad thing. Error Expert could turn out to be a very good program. I don't know. That's why it's time to try it out as I type this review.

Ok, I went ahead and downloaded and installed Error Expert. It was just under 1MB. So it's a quick download and installation. I should also note that on startup, it said copyright 2007. I guess Error Expert isn't new after all like I thought. lol

Anyway, upon loading Error Expert, I went ahead and looked through the list of tools that Error Expert comes with. It's got a good amount of tools to help with your system, but I've seen better. For instance, there is a startup manager, a BHO manager, and uninstall manager. But there isn't a Registry Defrag or regular Disk Defrag, etc. It's a good feature list, but not great.

As far as how the tools perform, they all seem to perform ok. The Registry Cleaner wasn't as impressive as I thought it might be though. I've had some other programs find more errors in my Registry.

In conclusion, I guess I'm mixed about this software. It's alright, but it's not the greatest. I'm going to go ahead and recommend not bothering with this software. When it comes to Registry Cleaners and System Optimization programs, I will stick with recommending Registry Easy and Registry Winner.

Perfect Booster Review

Ok, last post then I'm going to get ready for bed lol. Came across yet ANOTHER Registry Cleaner. And so therefore I'm going to do yet ANOTHER review lol. This time the software is called Perfect Booster, so off to start a Perfect Booster Review. :)

From the looks of the feature list on the website, it looks like Perfect Booster has a fairly impressive feature list. We will see how it goes though. The software just finished installing.

Ok, I went ahead and opened Perfect Booster and looked through it. It's pretty nice. It's missing a few features that some of the other Registry Cleaners have (such as a BHO manager and File Shredder). On the other hand though, there are a few features that I don't see too often. There's a shortcuts cleaner, Registry Defrag, etc.

There is also an IE Manager. This provides you with some various options to change that concern Internet Explorer. There's also a System Optimizer that presents you with various options to speed up the computer. It's a nice touch. There's also a system tools menu which has shortcuts to some of the more useful system tools on your system. For instance from there you can access RegEdit, Disk Cleanup, Disk Defrag, System Restore, etc. Nice to easily access those in one place.

As far as the tools themselves, they performed fairly well. The history cleaner especially performed well and freed up 50MB. That might not seem like a lot, but I try and clean my system daily, so the fact this much was still found to clean was impressive to me.

Overall, I'm going to go ahead and recommend people check out this software. Especially if you are looking to improve your PC Performance.

Perfect Booster

RegTweaker Review

It's a Sunday night and I got nothing to do. So I'm going to go ahead and do another review lol. This time I'm going to do a RegTweaker review. RegTweaker is yet another Registry Cleaner. Seriously, people should refer to me as the Registry Cleaner King when it comes to how many I've tried out lol. :)

Anyway, RegTweaker makes the usual claims about it's software. I'm going to skip listing what all it claims to do and just get straight to trying out the program. I went ahead and quickly downloaded and installed RegTweaker.

Ok, I got RegTweaker open. Right on the main menu, is a button telling me to scan my system to find out the status of it. So I did that. And, it just showed me a list of all the things found that RegTweaker can fix. Well that's cool, I guess. I was hoping for some cool little color bar though telling me how my system is lol.

Anyway, while looking through RegTweaker, I see the following features. A Registry Cleaner, Junk File Cleaner, Evidence Cleaner, File Shredder, File Association Repair, IE Repair, Bad Active X Repair, System Optimizer, Application Optimizer, Internet Optimizer, Startup Manager, BHO Manager, and of course options to make backups. It's a pretty complete and impressive feature list. I would have liked to maybe see a Registry Defrag, but ah well.

As far as how the features perform, they seem to do pretty well based on the results of the scan i performed. So that's good I guess.

Hey, I noticed at the top it says Good Evening. I wonder if that's set to that based on my computer clock. If I change the clock to the morning, will it say good morning? Time to find out lol. And.. it said Good morning! Cool!. Ok I'm really easily amused lol.

But yeah in conclusion, this is an alright software program. I've seen better (such as Registry Winner), but if you are thinking of trying out RegTweaker, then go for it. It's not too bad. :)

File R/D Review

Ok time for a quick review. I'm going to do a File R/D Review. Don't know what File R/D is? Me either... lol. But I'll read the website and find.

Ok, file R/D is basically a File Deleter or File Recovery program. It basically lets you undelete files or permanently delete them. I've reviewed a couple of these in the past. So I have some experience with these programs.

Anyway, I went ahead and quickly installed file R/D. I now have it running an in-depth scan to see what all it can find. You know, I had to reformat my drive back in August. It would be amazing if this software found some of my old files I lost. But I've pretty much given up hope of ever recovering them. It's been over 3 months... it's very unlikely I could ever get those back.

File R/D is continuing to scan. I should note, File R/D lets you see what files have been found so far while the scan continues. I like that... right away I can start looking to see what files I can recover.

Ok, the scan finally finished. It found thousands of files to restore actually. Unfortunately though, most of them were just recent temporary internet files that had been deleted. No files from many months ago :(. Ah well lol.

Anyway, I actually recommend people go ahead and check out this software. Because you can do a free scan, if you are looking to recover something specific, you can do a scan first and see if File R/D can restore it, if so then there you go.

Driver Finder Review

Before I go to bed, I thought I'd quickly discuss this software I just came across. It's called Driver Finder. So of course I gotta do a Driver Finder Review :-D.

You know, in a previous review I was commenting how self-explanatory software is these days with what it's supposed to do. It's no different with Driver Finder. As you can probably guess, Driver Finder's main purpose is to find and update your computer drivers. lol

I've reviewed these type of programs in the past. To be honest, I'm not exactly sure how to go about reviewing Driver Finder. It's not like it's a full system optimization program where I can review all of the individual features. Driver Finder is simple. It scans the internet for updates to your drivers and updates them. No unnecessary extras, just straight to the point. And with this type of software, that is definitely a good thing.

As far as if it's effective, I definitely think it is. Driver Finder did a great job of finding drivers to update. Having outdated or missing drivers can cause all sorts of problems. And finding the drivers on the internet manually can be really difficult (not to mention, very boring). So a program like Driver Finder is a great program to have if you are looking to manage your drivers. That's about all there is really to say. If you need to update your drivers, check out Driver Finder.

RegiScrub Review

I'm back and ready to do another review. I came across another Registry Cleaner that I hadn't taken a look at. Normally it's the same old routine. The Registry Cleaner usually isn't impressive at all and has very little additional features. However, when looking at the website of this software and it's feature list, it looks like really promising software. So it's time to find out first hand.

Anyway, this software is called RegiScrub. Like I said, it's a registry cleaner, and like I said, it's time to do a RegiScrub review :-D. I went ahead and downloaded and installed RegiScrub. It was fairly easy, the download was small. So that is always good. Anyway, let's get right to the software.

I went ahead and opened RegiScrub. First reaction is that there is indeed a lot of features. I see a Registry Cleaner, Junk File Cleaner, Privacy Protection, File Destroyer, Repair Windows, Repair IE, Repair System, Memory Optimizer, System Optimizer, Startup Optimizer, Uninstall Wizard, and of course options to create various types of backups. It's a really nice feature list, one of the better feature lists I've seen in quite some time.

I'm going through and testing out each feature individually.

- The Registry Cleaner worked great.

- The Junk File Cleaner found some files that Windows Disk Cleanup never bothered to get rid of, so that's nice.

- The Privacy Protection basically deletes usage tracks for various software programs on your computer. It worked fairly well.

- The File Destroyer is basically a file shredder that will overwrite files you want to delete multiple times so that they can't be recovered. It did well.

- The Repair Windows feature was interesting. It basically has a list of various problems you might encounter with Windows and how to fix them. It's a nice list, but on the downside, the problems are pretty basic.

- The Repair System feature basically works to prevent various types of software from being installed on your computer. It reminds me of SpywareGuard. I have no idea why they called this Repair System lol.

- Repair IE basically lets you restore your start pages, has a BHO manager, etc. Fairly simple.

- The memory optimizer works well. It optimizes and frees up your computer RAM. It can be easier simply running that then just restarting your computer and regain some of your RAM.

- The system optimizer lets you change your computer settings to turn it into a certain type of computer. For instance you can have your computer use settings like an internet cafe computer, or a hotel computer. I don't know... I was expecting a bit more from "System Optimizer"

- Startup Repair lets you manage your programs that run when you start the computer. Fairly basic, no information on what each item is unfortunately. So you have to search online yourself.

- And finally the uninstall wizard basically lets you uninstall programs on your computer. It's basically like Add/Remove programs on Windows.

Anyway, this review turned out much longer then I planned lol. I do really like this software though. I'm going to go ahead and recommend this to those looking for a Registry Cleaner. Although with all the features RegiScrub has, it's more of a system optimization program in my opinion. Anyway, whatever you wanna call it, highly recommended.

Password Resetter Review

And I'm back for another review :). Although this isn't a very long review. I came across this program called Password Resetter, so I decided to do a Password Resetter review.

You know, so many software programs these days have names that are pretty self-explanatory when it comes to what they do. What does Password Resetter do? It resets your password of course. :) Specifically your Windows Password.

It's a rather narrow market they are going after. How many people really need to reset their windows password and have forgotten it? Not very many I'm guessing. But if you are in that situation, you should definitely take a look at this software.

From what I've seen, this software seems to work really well. The website also provides a YouTube video demonstrating it if you are skeptical, so that's worth checking out as well.

I don't have much else to say about this software. It's rather simple, but it does the job. So if you need to reset your windows password, consider checking out this software.

Reg Fixer Pro Review

And... I'm back after a bit of a vacation. Things have been pretty crazy. Also, moved across country this past August, and yeah, things are crazy. ;). Anyway...

I was looking online and came across some new software. Or at least I think it's new. It's called Reg Fixer Pro. I figured I'd go ahead and do a Reg Fixer Pro review.

In case you couldn't tell from the name, Reg Fixer Pro is yet another registry cleaner. Reg Fixer Pro makes all the usual claims about speeding up your computer. Let's get right to trying out the program though. :)

I went ahead and quickly downloaded and installed Reg Fixer Pro. It's a quick download, so even if you are on dial-up you shouldn't worry about downloading it.

Upon opening Reg Fixer Pro, it asked me if I would like to create a restore point. I like that... Registry Cleaners can sometimes be careless and make changes to your system that it shouldn't. It's nice that Reg Fixer Pro gave me the option before I do anything to make a restore point on my system.

Anyway... continuing on. As I look at the main screen my first thought is wow, where are the features? It looks like it's a registry cleaner and absolutely nothing more. I don't see any startup manager, no registry defrag, no regular defrag, nothing. It's a very very basic scanner.

I went ahead and ran a scan. The scan was pretty quick. I looked through the registry errors found, I didn't see anything found that shouldn't have been found. Overall, the results look to be about average or above average.

But yeah... I don't know what else to say about this software lol. In closing, like I said, it has very little additional features. The scanner itself is alright, but that's about all there is to this software. If you are looking for a good registry cleaner, check out my Registry Winner and Registry Easy review. Go ahead and pass on this one.

TidySongs Review

You know, with my reviews, I focus so often on various system utilities for your computer. For this review though, I'm going to take a break and do a review about TidySongs. TidySongs is some software I recently came across and I thought it was really promising. So here is my TidySongs Review.

What is TidySongs? TidySongs is basically software that will help you with organizing your songs. It can be difficult keeping your music organized. Often times the artists or titles in your song files will be misspelled, inaccurate or even completely missing. In addition, your song files may be missing album art, genre information, etc.

Now, this is where TidySongs comes in. TidySongs will help you add album art, rename genres, remove duplicates, fix spelling errors, etc. It's a really handy tool.

One thing I noticed is that TidySongs has it's own online database. That is how TidySongs goes about fixing your songs. The song is searched for in the TidySongs online database, and then the data is downloaded to fix your song information. It's simple, but very effective.

Also, one thing I really liked was the option to have TidySongs fix your songs all at once. That way instead of going song by song, you can simple have TidySongs fix all of your songs while you sleep or go to work. It's so much easier then fixing your music manually. And it's a lot better then iTunes and other music players attempts to fix your song files.

But yeah, in wrapping this up, I can't say enough about TidySongs. I absolutely love it, and if any of the readers are music lovers, this is a must-have in my opinion. Good luck!

Wizard Uninstaller Review

Time to do another review. This time I'm going to do a Wizard Uninstaller review.

So what is Wizard Uninstaller? Wizard Uninstaller looks to be a program that will help you uninstall programs on your computer. Some people might be wondering why download something like that when Windows comes with Add/Remove Programs. The answer though is that Add/Remove Programs isn't always effective. Sometimes it has a hard time removing programs. In addition I've found some programs installed to not even be listed. Wizard Uninstaller is for when you are having a hard time removing programs.

I went ahead and downloaded and installed Wizard Uninstaller. Thankfully it's a quick download and installation.

Anyway, upon opening Wizard Uninstaller. You basically see the list of programs on your computer that you can uninstall. There are multiple ways to sort the list of programs. For instance, you can sort them by size, publisher, etc. There is also a search feature. Oh how I wish Add/Remove Programs had that.

I should note, Wizard Uninstaller also features a 1-click uninstall. So you can quickly and easily uninstall programs you don't need. I really like this feature especially.

Well, that's about all I really have to say about Wizard Uninstaller. I really like it. I've reviews a couple other program uninstallers, and I think Wizard Uninstaller is my favorite. So if you are looking for something to replace Add/Remove programs, consider checking out Wizard Uninstaller.

File Helper Review

It's time to take a break from Registry Cleaners and take a look at some other products. This time I'm going to do a File Helper Review.

File Helper is a program that claims to fix file errors on your computer. For instance, sometimes there might be a file type that you are unable to open. Perhaps you are receiving an error when attempting to open the file? File Helper claims to be the answer to this problem.

I went ahead and quickly downloaded and installed File Helper. I should note, File Helper appears to need to connect to the internet in order to scan your computer. I was a bit concerned about this at first, but it looks to be ok.

When you open File Helper, you will basically see an opening screen giving you the option to scan your computer. The scan just takes about a minute. For me, it found 80 solutions for various file errors that were found.

There really isn't much else to say about File Helper. I'm sure readers are wondering well does it work? For some file errors, it did a good job. For other errors, it didn't. This is really one of those programs that you need to try for yourself and see if it works for you or not.

Anyway, in conclusion, if you are having some file extension errors, go ahead and try this program out. Its a small download, and maybe you will have success with it.

File Helper

RegAce Review

Time for another review. This time I'm going to do a RegAce Review.

RegAce looks to be your typical Registry Cleaner. The company claims that RegAce will fix many computer problems. It's time to test out RegAce and find out if this is true. :) I went ahead and quickly downloaded and installed RegAce. So now it's time to open it up and take a look.

My first thought looking at RegAce is wow this is kind of an ugly interface. lol I hate to be picky, but it's just too colorful and looks like a child designed it.

In looking through RegAce, it looks like there aren't very many additional features. There is a Startup Manager, but that's really about it. For a Registry Cleaner to be above the rest, it needs more then just a Registry Cleaner and a Startup Item. Most Registry Cleaners have many other features.

Ok, I went ahead and ran a scan with RegAce. The scan results were about average. Could be better, could be worse. Either way, it was just average.

In wrapping this up, I'm not at all impressed with RegAce. My advice? Stick with Registry Easy or Registry Winner.

RegInOut Review

In continuing with some of my reviews, it's time to check out RegInOut. RegInOut looks to be your typical Registry Cleaner. Since I have reviewed so many of these, I figure I may as well take a look at RegInOut and do a RegInOut Review.

I noticed the RegInOut company website looks professional for the most part. They make the usual claims about RegInOut being number 1. I'll be the judge of that ;). Thankfully the download and installation was quick. Time to open up RegInOut.

Ok, my first thought when opening up RegInOut is that it has a nice clean interface. You don't realize how bad some of the Registry Cleaners look until you look at a Registry Cleaner with a really nice interface. Anyway, time to start the Registry Scan.

While the Registry Cleaner is scanning, I should note that the additional features with this program appear to be at a minimum. There is a Startup Manager, but that's about it.

The scan finished. Unfortunately, the number of Registry Errors found appears to be below average. Although I should note, RegInOut also found some shortcuts on the computer that are invalid. I guess RegInOut isn't just a Registry Scanner.

In conclusion, I'm not that impressed with RegInOut. The interface is nice, but that's about it. The amount of additional features is minimum. In addition, the scanner isn't very impressive. For now I'll still stick to recommending Registry Easy or Registry Winner.

WindoClear Review

And... I'm back! While I was away, it looks some new software programs have been released. Although maybe I just missed them before. Anyway, for this post, I am going to take a look at WindoClear and do a WindoClear Review.

So what is WindoClear? According to the official website, WindoClear helps you protect your online privacy. How does it do that? Based on the website alone, I'm not exactly sure lol. Anyway, it's time to install it and see if it's any good.

Ok, I went ahead and quickly downloaded and installed WindoClear. It was a quick download and installation thankfully. So now it's time to open up WindoClear.

Upon opening WindoClear, it looks like it's a pretty simple program. There are a few buttons. There is "Scan Now", "Clean Options", "Configuration", and "About". All of those are pretty self-explanatory.

Looking through WindoClear, this appears to just be a history cleaner. WindoClear goes through you computer hard drive looking for old history tracks to remove. I was expecting a bit more to be honest.

I went ahead and ran a scan. WindoClear performed well, even though it's pretty basic.

One thing I should add, WindoClear has an option to wipe your free space on the computer. If you don't know what this means, let me explain.

When you delete a file, it rarely is deleted right away. Instead, your computer marks the file to delete later on. This is why some File Recovery programs will be able to recover recently deleted files. Your computer will get around to actually deleting the file when disk space is low and your computer actually needs that space.

So back to Wiping your free space. What this feature does is basically create a large file on your computer to temporarily lower your free disk space. This way the computer goes ahead and gets rid of those old files that you deleted.

In wrapping up this review, WindoClear is an okay program. I was expecting a bit more, but the feature to Wipe your free space is a nice feature that most utility programs seem to forget. If you are looking for a basic history cleaner, consider checking out WindoClear. If you are looking for a full utility program or some type of program to speed up your PC, consider another program such as Registry Winner or Registry Easy.

SpyZooka Review

Thought I would do a quick SpyZooka review.

However, I am going to keep this really simple. SpyZooka costs money... SpyZooka is an anti-spyware program. Many of the top anti-spyware programs don't cost money. So to spend money on SpyZooka, there's going to have to be something spectacular with it for me to buy it. So is there anything spectacular? I sure didn't see anything spectacular with SpyZooka. In fact, the detection is just average at best.

My advice? Download a free scanner like Ad-Aware, and use the money you considered for SpyZooka to buy Registry Winner. It's got a lot of tools that will help in speeding up your computer, it will do a lot more then SpyZooka could ever do.

Final Uninstaller Review

Time for a Final Uninstaller Review.

I took a look once at Total Uninstaller, so I figure why not look at Final Uninstaller. They have similar names, and they are very similar programs. The purpose of Final Uninstaller is to uninstall programs on your computer. Maybe you are having a hard time removing a program, or maybe the uninstaller isn't cleaning up all of the program. Either way, that's where Final Uninstaller comes in.

As far as the download itself. It's pretty small. The installer is just 2.5MB. Then again, for these system utility type of programs, they usually aren't very big.

I am now looking at the main interface. There are two tabs at the top. There is remnants, and installed programs. You can pretty much guess what each of those mean.

Anyway, I went ahead and spent some time looking around on Final Uninstaller. Here are a couple cool things I've found.

- On the remnants screen, you can scan for remnants of programs on your computer. Then you can view detailed information of all of the files and registry keys left behind from a previously uninstalled program.

- If an uninstallation has failed, there is an option in the program to submit the program for review to the creators of Final Uninstaller, so they can fix it and provide a program update. Now that's some nice customer service.

Overall, I'm impressed with Final Uninstaller. If you are looking for good program uninstaller, I highly recommend checking this program out. Good luck!

History Cleaner Review

Oh dear... time for a History Cleaner review.

You know, usually I would suggest trying out software before deciding if it's worth purchasing instead of simply going by how the company acts. But in this case, I'm going to make an exception.

The History Cleaner website is bullshit. But here's the highlight:

"Most people are shocked when we tell them that every single thing you do on your computer is permanently stored in hidden files on your hard drive."

Um... Not Even Close.

You know... companies generally exaggerate from time to time about things. It happens so often, that it isn't a big deal to me. But the one thing that I cannot stand is when a company flat out lies to people and tries to scare them into downloading their software. That pisses me off so much.

Because of the behavior alone of this company, I am going to suggest you stay away from History Cleaner. If you are looking for a good file cleaner, just go with one of the registry cleaners. I recommend Registry Winner specifically. It has a history cleaner among many other features. You can check out my review of Registry Winner here.

Content Cleaner Review

Ok... let's see if I can do a review of parental control software without it turning into a full rant. Regular readers may remember what happened last time after I reviewed a parental control product lol.

Anyway. I'm going to take a look at Content Cleaner and do a Content Cleaner Review.

Upon first hearing the name, I figured this was a history cleaner for your computer. Well, I was wrong. Content Cleaner is a software program designed to scan your computer for porn and remove it.

I'm sure many of the guys are thinking they better hide this from their wives, but don't worry, this is for parents to use. :) Although... nothing is stopping wives from using this too I guess. :)

Actually, after looking more at the website, it appears they also target another type of user, those who look at porn and want to hide it. :). Perhaps you've been looking at porn on your work computer, you might want to clean that up so your boss doesn't get upset. So I mean, there are legitimate purposes to using this software besides parents using it.

Anyway, six paragraphs in and I'm finally going to talk about the software. After taking a look at Content Cleaner. I was impressed. It didn't blow me away, but Content Cleaner seems to work. How Content Cleaner works is, it scans for certain skin-tone levels that might indicate the image is sexual. Then you can see which files were found and go from there on removing them. It's impressive technology, but no surprise, there are some false positives. So don't be surprised if something Content Cleaner finds turns out to be just a normal picture.

In all, if you have no use for this software, then I don't know why you'd want to bother with it. But if you are a parent looking to remove porn from the family computer, a person trying to hide their web viewing from their boss or spouse, you may want to check out Content Cleaner. Good luck!

Duplicate File Cleaner Review

Another review. This time I'm going to do a Duplicate File Cleaner Review.

You know... I really wish I had came across this software a few days ago. I recently had to backup my files and reinstall Windows XP. It took forever to back everything up. I really should have came across this program earlier and removed some of the duplicate files that I'm sure I backed up. Ah well... :) Anyway... onto the review.

Duplicate File Cleaner is exactly what it sounds like. Duplicate File Cleaner goes through your hard drive and looks for duplicate files, that way you can remove them and store disk space. Everyone always focuses on cleaning your history to clean up disk space, but not too many people decide to try cleaning duplicate files. So this is a great idea in my opinion.

Anyway, the Duplicate File Cleaner install is small, just over 1MB. So it's a quick download and installation. So let's get right to opening the program.

Upon opening Duplicate File Cleaner, I see a few buttons at the top. Basic, Outlook, Music, Pictures, etc. They are basically buttons that take you to the scanning options to scan for duplicate files of different types. For instance, when it comes to pictures, you have the option of looking for picture files of the same byte size. With music you can look for files with the same name that are only MP3's, etc. There's a lot of different options basically for finding Duplicate Files.

I must say, I'm impressed with this software. It's a nice way to go about freeing up hard drive space, or even just organizing your computer more. So if you are looking to free up hard drive space, and you have already tried clearing your computer cache, I recommend checking out Duplicate File Cleaner.

Article Submitter Review

I came across some really cool software. It's called Article Submitter. So here's a quick Article Submitter Review.

If you have a blog or website, you may often like to write articles and post them on various article websites. This is one way to reach more people with your writing and introduce people to your website. However, it can take a long time to submit to article websites. Sometimes in an hour you could only maybe submit articles to 10 websites or so. That's where Article Submitter comes in.

Article Submitter is basically software that will submit your articles to all of these different article submission sites for you. Article Submitter has a long list of article sites in it's database. You set up accounts for each article site, enter in all of the information to the Article Submitter program (Including your article details), and then Article Submitter submits your articles to all of the different websites one by one.

I must say, I absolutely love Article Submitter. It is expensive, but it really speeds things up if you like to submit articles to various websites. I can't imagine just how long it would take to manually submit your article to 300+ websites.

Anyway, in wrapping this up. I know this review probably appeals to a very small group of my readers, but if you're interested in submitting articles to websites, I highly recommend this software. Good luck!

Evidence Nuker Review

Some of these programs have such scary sounding names lol. Anyway, time to do an Evidence Nuker Review.

You can probably already guess what Evidence Nuker does. It cleans your junk files on your computer. There are a few highlights on the Evidence Nuker website lol. Among them, a testimonial from a women who used Evidence Nuker to hide her cybersex activity, and an Evidence Nuker July challenge that challenges you to try the product and see if there are less then 100 items found. I could clean my history and then do that challenge, but I really don't care enough too :).

Anyway, as far as Evidence Nuker itself, it's got all the usual features of a program for cleaning your tracks. It cleans your Internet Browsing history, Recent Documents, Run History, Recycle Bin, etc. It covers all of the usual areas. In addition, I like the file shredder it includes for overwriting files before deleting them, making it difficult for recovery software to recover the files you deleted. Overall, Evidence Nuker seems to perform very well.

Anyway, If you are really concerned about your privacy, you may want to check this program out. It seems to be one of the better evidence cleaners. Good luck!

RegistrySmart Review

I went ahead and took a look at RegistrySmart. So I am going to do a quick RegistrySmart Review.

After looking at RegistrySmart, I honestly don't recommend this product. There are a few reasons why, but here are specifically a couple.

- The feature list with RegistrySmart is really lacking. Yeah there is also a startup manager, but that's about it. There are a lot of Registry Cleaners these days that come with many other additional features that RegistrySmart does not come with. What about a Registry Defrag? Junk file cleaner? etc.

- There is some debate among security professionals if RegistrySmart is safe or not. It appears some programs are detecting it as spyware. Unfortunately, I cannot confirm if it is indeed spyware or not.

Even if RegistrySmart turns out to be safe for your computer, it just doesn't have enough for me to consider recommending it. If you are looking for a good registry cleaner, check out Registry Winner. It's one of my favorites.

Wordpress Membership Plugin Review

Here's my Wordpress Membership plugin review. I'm specifically talking about this one.

If you write a really popular wordpress blog, then I highly recommend this Wordpress Membership plugin.

What this plug-in does is basically let you create membership levels for your Wordpress blog.

For instance, you can make it so people have to pay to obtain certain access to your Wordpress blog. This could be useful in many different ways. Perhaps you are posting very valuable information in your blog that you feel people should pay for. This will fix that so you can get some money from your Wordpress blog. Perhaps you want to release software to people who pay per month, then you can set it up to release the software in those posts that users have to pay to access to. It's a pretty neat plugin.

Only downside is, the plugin costs a lot of money. But if you have a popular blog, you should get that money back from income you make through memberships. So check it out. :) I highly recommend this plugin!

PC Tattletale Review

Ok for this post, I am going to do a PC Tattletale Review. This is going to be sort of like the Win Spy Software Review.

PC Tattletale is used for the same purpose basically. For parents to spy on their children. Although that is what the website is aimed for, there is still nothing stopping it from people using it on their spouses, or bosses using it on their employees.

Some of the features PC Tattletale has are MySpace monitoring, KeyStroke Recording, Chat Recorder, Screenshot Recording, Web History Monitoring, etc. All the features you would expect in Spy Software comes with PC Tattletale.

So how does it compare to Win Spy Software? I honestly don't see much difference between the two programs in terms of features.

Ok, I'm done keeping my opinions out of this. I was looking through the PC Tattletale website, one of the questions listed on it's frequently asked questions page was "Isn't it wrong to spy on my kids?". That is up for a parent to decide. But of course, the PC Tattletale website says no it's not wrong and makes it's argument. Here are some highlights of the PC Tattletale argument, and my own rebuttals.

" It's only a matter of time until your child is exposed to things, people or situations that they shouldn't. "

- Not necessarily. And if you actually spend time with your children while they are on the computer, then you can be right there to protect them. If you're using spy software on your child who's 6, then your 6 year old child shouldn't be on the internet alone in the first place. If you're using it on your child who's 15, then it's your job to teach them how to handle situations like that.

"When you are monitoring your child's online activities, you're not spying"

- Um... yes you are. Dictionary.com definition of spying: "One who secretly keeps watch on another or others." Isn't that what this is?

"To those people who might disagree with us and insist that using a software like PC Tattletale is "spying"; to them we say "If i keeps your child safe, so what? If "spying" on what your kids do online, helps keeps them and my family safe, then no harm no foul."

- By that logic, if locking yourself in your house for the rest of your life and never leaving your house again keeps you safe, then so what? Horrible horrible logic.

Let's look at more highlights...

"I want to protect my children, but I feel guilty spying on them. We understand, but to put it very bluntly - you need to get over it. The Internet is NOT a safe place for children to venture alone."

- No shit it's not a safe place for children to venture alone! So don't let them!

"It's a harsh question to ask, but how "guilty" are you going to fee if you don't monitor their activities and something bad happens?""

- How guilty are you going to feel if your children find out and ask why their own parents don't trust them?

"Should I tell my kids that I am monitoring them? It's a matter of personal choice and should be determined by the kind of relationship you have with your child."

- Just like the use of this software to begin with!

"Will I need to configure my Anti-Spy ware / Anti Virus to ignore PC Tattletale. Most likely. Today many anti virus and anti-spy ware manufactures are becoming increasingly overzealous in identifying perceived "threats," and many care more about their profits then your child's online safety."

- Anti-Spyware companies care more about their profits? This coming from the company that is charging $50 for their software. And the top Anti-Spyware removers have free versions, so there goes the profit argument. And god forbid software that can record my credit card numbers and be given to strangers is considered a threat to my security.

In ending this review, I need to take a deep breath lol. The thing that pisses me off is PC Tattletale trying to scare parents into buying their spy software. Right on the main page is a link that says click if you've decided not to order yet, which takes you to a CBS news video about children on the internet. Come on...

If you want to use software like this on your children, that is your decision. If you were reading this review just to know if PC Tattletale works or not, it does. It works and has a lot of features. But please consider Win Spy Software over PC Tattletale. The features are the same, it's cheaper, and Win Spy Software isn't trying to tell you how to do their job. Because really, do you want some software company telling you how to raise your child and then taking your money?

MalwareRemovalBot Review

Thought I would do a quick MalwareRemovalBot review.

I don't need to make this a long review. After taking a look at MalwareRemovalBot, just stay away from it. Don't go near it.

MalwareRemovalBot is another program that displays false positives to get you to buy their software. It seems like the majority of anti-spyware programs that cost money do this to scare you into buying their product. Don't let MalwareRemovalBot do this to you!

If you are looking for a good spyware remover, go with Ad-Aware. It's one of the best, and it's free. :) MalwareRemovalBot also claims to boost your PC Performance, if you are looking for a good program that actually does that, check out my review of Registry Winner.

Win Spy Software Review

I am going to go ahead and do a Win Spy Software review.

This is kind of a tricky review for me. I don't really agree with using software like this, but I know some people believe it may be justified in some cases. So I am going to try to go ahead and keep my opinion out of this and just stick to reviewing how well the product does it's purpose.

If you don't know what Win Spy Software is, Win Spy Software basically lets you see what someone is doing on your computer when you are not around. What are some uses for that? Well some parents use it to spy on their children and make sure their children are staying safe on the internet. Other people use it to see if their spouse is cheating on them. Some bosses use it to make sure their employees are actually working. There are many different uses for a product like this. Like I said, I'm going to keep my opinions out of this.

Anyway, I went ahead and took a look at Win Spy Software. Win Spy Software does do it's job very well. It can take screen captures of the computer, record what keys are typed, record the webcam if it's used, it can even record attempts to try to install anti-spy software. Additionally, if you are a parent for instance, you can check from another computer and go online to see what your child is doing. For it's purpose, Win Spy Software is pretty effective.

Like I said though, whether it is ok for a parent or spouse to do this is up for debate. If you are against ever using software like this, then I'm sure either way you aren't going to try Win Spy Software. But if you are looking for a product like this to buy, Win Spy Software is one of the best. Good luck!

WinClear Review

I had the chance to check out WinClear. And I must say, I absolutely love this software. Let me explain why in this WinClear Review.

One of the easiest ways to free up disk space these days is by clearing up your junk files on your computer. Unfortunately, a lot of people forget to do this these days. In addition, even if you do this, you usually won't get all of the junk files. Clearing your Temporary Internet Files just doesn't get all of them, what about your regular Temp Files? What about MRU's? Etc. Truthfully, it would take a long time to manually go through and clean up your junk files. That's where WinClear comes in.

WinClear basically does all of this for you. It scans your computer for junk files and then goes about deleting them. In addition, it also cleans Registry Streams, Windows Fragmented Files, Auto Complete Data, and even the Index.Dat file which is extremely difficult to delete manually since it's locked.

One thing I also like about WinClear is the FileShredder. What this does is basically overwrite the data multiple times before deleting it. This is perfect for those worried about their privacy or companies that want to make sure company info doesn't fall into the wrong hands, etc. Think of it like before throwing out a piece of paper, you take a pen and draw over it a bunch of times. That's what this is like. Very cool.

In all, like I said, I really like WinClear and figured I would go ahead and do a post about it. If you are looking to protect your privacy or just even want to clear up some free space on your computer, I highly recommend checking WinClear out. Good luck!

Had the chance to do a quick PC OnPoint Review. Unfortunately, I was not to impressed with it.

PC OnPoint markets itself to be a Registry Cleaner, and that's exactly what it is. But when I tried it out, the Registry Cleaner just didn't perform very well. In addition, I wasn't very impressed with this software.

MemAgent Review

Ok, time to take a break from reviewing Registry Cleaners. I'm going to review another program I came across. This program is called MemAgent, so yep, time for a MemAgent Review. :-D

Basically, MemAgent is a Memory Optimizer Software. If you are low on RAM, you know how frustrating it can be for your computer to slow down. MemAgent looks to fix that by freeing up RAM.

So how does MemAgent do? It seems to do pretty well actually. Not only that though, but MemAgent also attempts to improve your net connection, clean your temp files, Optimize Windows Settings, Defrag Windows, and other processes through it's software. It also seems pretty simple to use, something that is important so that even those not into computers will be able to use it.

Overall, I recommend checking out the MemAgent website and seeing if you think it's for you. Good luck!

RegZooka Review

I swear, I have tried a million different Registry Cleaners lol. Now I know how it must feel to be an ice cream taster and get sick of Ice Cream. Except you aren't supposed to enjoy running Registry Cleaners, or are you? :)

Anyway, time to do a RegZooka Regiew. RegZooka is another Registry Cleaner. RegZooka's website makes the usual claims about it improving your computer performance. It's time to find out how it does though. I went ahead and installed RegZooka.

Ok, I went ahead and tested RegZooka out. It's not a bad program. The Registry Cleaner did well, in addition, RegZooka also has a nice Registry Defrag and a Startup Manager. Registry Defrag is quickly becoming one of the more necessary features needed these days and a Startup Manager is easily one of the biggest ways to improve your PC start time. It's nice to see that RegZooka has both.

I should also note, the RegZooka website has an icon up acknowledging that they are accredited by the BBB. That is a great reassurance to have for customers. Too many software companies these days pop up overnight and try to scam you. It's nice to see that this company has been around a few years.

Convert Genius Review

I had the chance recently to download and install Convert Genius, and I must say, I am very impressed. Because of which, I decided to go ahead and do a Convert Genius Review.

Convert Genius basically lets you convert files between various multiple file formats. For instance, if you can't play WMV Files for some reason, you can convert them to MPEG, AVI, etc. Those aren't the only ones though, you can also convert between DVD, VCD, SVCD, MOV, RM, 3GP, MP2, MP3, AC3, RA, M4A, OGG, AAC, etc. It's a pretty impressive program.

Going into trying Convert Genius, I was excited about trying Convert Genius out, but I was also worried that it might be difficult to figure out. Programs like Convert Genius tend to be very difficult to learn. Thankfully though, Convert Genius was pretty easy to figure out, and even those who don't know a lot about computers should have no problem with Convert Genius.

I'm very happy with Convert Genius and I think I'm going to use it for now on whenever I need to convert files. I highly recommend checking it out.

Also, I should note, ACA Utilities has an incredible deal going. They are offering 15 software programs in a bundle to download online. Ok, I just came across an AMAZING deal. It's through a website called ACA Utilities, so I am going to do an ACA Utilities Review.

Basically, ACA Utilities is offering multiple software programs for $47 a year. Now... $47 a year may sound like a lot of money. But not when you realize just what all is included.

According to the ACA Utilities website, here is what all is included. Registry Easy, Perfect Uninstaller, Driver Checker, Spyware Cease, Advanced Defrag, Duplicate File Cleaner, Final Sync, Memory Savior, Final Uninstaller, Evidence Smart, Easy Launcher, Convert Genius, Cookbook Easy, Convert My PDF, Recoveryer.

Let's take a look at what each of them does.

Registry Easy - A Registry Cleaner that I have reviewed in the past and which I really really liked. Registry Easy basically works towards speeding up your computer

Perfect Uninstaller - Another program that I have reviewed in the past and also really liked. Perfect Uninstaller is a program used for uninstalling programs that you are having a hard time removing with the simple add/remove manager. Very handy tool to have on your computer.

Driver Checker - Yet another program I've reviewed in the past. I liked this one as well. Driver Checker scans your computer for updated drivers and downloads them for you. Makes downloading drivers really simple.

Spyware Cease - I don't think I've done a full review of Spyware Cease in the past. I normally don't recommend paying for a Spyware Remover. But since this program comes with the bundle, I guess it's worth checking out. It's a rather average spyware remover.

Advanced Defrag - Advanced Defrag is used for defragging your computer. This is another program I have reviewed in the past and another which I really like. Defragging your computer basically speeds up the time your computer spends opening files when you access them. Windows comes with a Disk Defrag, but it's average at best.

Duplicate File Cleaner - I just reviewed Duplicate File Cleaner a couple weeks back actually. Duplicate File Cleaner will find duplicate files on your computer and remove them so you can save hard drive space. It's pretty cool.

Final Uninstaller - I reviewed this program as well. It's very similar to Perfect Uninstaller. I'm not exactly sure why they included both in the bundle. Personally, I liked Perfect Uninstaller a bit better.

Evidence Smart - I reviewed this program way back in February. I wasn't too impressed with Evidence Smart back then. It works to free up your junk files on the computer. But it wasn't that impressive. Most of what it did can be done with Registry Easy.

Memory Savior - I've yet to post a full separate blog review this program. I need to make a note to do so. But for now I'll say that I like Memory Savior. Memory Saviors purpose is to free up your computer RAM. My computer has 1GB of RAM, but I swear even that's not always enough these days lol.

Easy Launcher - Easy Launcher is used to make it easier for users to manage applications and desktop shortcuts. I've yet to do a full separate review for this program. It's a rather interesting program, but it personally didn't fit my tastes too much. I dunno, maybe other people will like it?

Final Sync - Final Sync is basically a backup utility. It synchronizes your important files to desktops, USB flash drives, etc. Ugh, I should have used this a couple weeks back when I had to backup my computer, lol. But anyway, good program.

Convert Genius - Convert Genius is used to convert file types between various programs. For instance maybe you want to convert a WAV file to a MP3? Or maybe you want to switch the file format for certain video files you have. That's what Convert Genius is for. I tried it last month and I really liked it.

Cookbook Easy - This program is so out of place in this bundle, lol. Cookbook Easy is a program that lets you manage and share cooking recipes. I guess it's a good program, but I'm into technology, not cooking. So my opinion on Cookbook Easy doesn't mean much, lol.

Convert My PDF - Convert My PDF allows you to convert your PDF Files into various documents. I don't think I ever did a full review of Convert My PDF in the past. It's a nice program, but not many people will probably need to use it.

Recoveryer - Recoveryer is a program to undelete files you may have accidentally deleted. When you delete files from the recycle bin, they aren't usually immediately removed from the computer. So sometimes these type of programs can recover them. Personally, I didn't have much luck with Recoveryer in undeleting anything useful, but maybe others will have better luck.

By my count, that is 15 programs for the price of one. I am amazed that ACA Utilities are offering that many programs for that price. $47 may sound like a lot, but if you have the money, I HIGHLY recommend going and ordering that deal. That is an amazing list of software, and I think it would do great in speeding up and taking care of your computer.

Reimage.com Review

I wanted to quickly do a post and mention this service I came across called Reimage.com. I'm going to go ahead and do a quick Reimage.com Review for this post.

Reimage.com is basically another tool to repair your computer but with one different. Reimage.com works through the internet! Instead of buying some software to do this, you pay for a single repair and Reimage.com attempts to fix your computer errors. It's a pretty cool service, one of which I haven't really come across before.

If you are having errors with your computer, and you don't have the money to buy a full system optimization program, you may want to go check out Reimage.com.

ErrorWiz Review

I'm on a roll tonight lol. But I figured since I have some time before bed, I wanted to go ahead and do some reviews. This time I am going to do an ErrorWiz Review. ErrorWiz is a program used for fixing errors on your computer and speeding your computer up. It looks like ErrorWiz does this through a Registry Cleaner, but I'm not sure. Time to find out.

I went ahead and downloaded and installed ErrorWiz. Thankfully it didn't take very long to do both. So with that let's get right to opening up the software.

Ok, upon looking at the software, I see a few features. It does indeed look like ErrorWiz is a Registry Cleaner. But, I also see a few additional features. It looks like ErrorWiz also has an Uninstall Manager, BHO Manager, Startup List Manager, Error Fix Tool, And a Virtual Memory tool.

You know, I think it's kinda neat that there is a Virtual Memory tool. I rarely see that in Registry Cleaners these days.

Anyway, I went ahead and ran a scan with ErrorWiz. It found the usual number of Registry Errors that most Registry Cleaners seem to find. So in all, I'd say the performance is above average.

Well, I guess I'm going to end this post. I think I'll go ahead and recommend ErrorWiz. The Registry Cleaner may not be the absolute best, but it's got some nice additional features. Those looking to speed up their PC will especially like the Virtual Memory Tool and the Error Fix tool.

PC Booster Review

I was given the opportunity to check out this new program called PC Booster. Because of that, I decided I would go ahead and do a really short PC Booster Review.

I must say, I really like PC Booster. PC Booster seems to have all of the features of a typical system optimization program. Automatic Tuneup, Auto-recover your memory, Boost Your Internet Speed, Clean up Junk Files, etc. It's got a really nice feature list.

One thing I should also mention that I noticed is if you buy PC Booster soon, they will throw in a couple bonuses. One of them was some type of special report for making your PC even faster, the other bonus was an internet radio player I think. I'm not sure though cause I didn't get a chance to look at it. I considered mentioning this deal only in my newsletter but I figured what the hell and thought I'd mention it now.

Either way, I recommend checking out PC Booster if you have a slow computer. Good luck!

RegGenie Review

Another day, another review. This time I am going to do a RegGenie Review. :)

If you don't know what RegGenie is, RegGenie is another Registry Cleaner that is available on the market. RegGenie claims to have the usual features, so let's just get right to the chase and download it.

I went ahead and downloaded and installed RegGenie. The download was just 3.1MB. So even if you use Dial-Up, the download and installation shouldn't take more then just a few minutes. So anyway, with that, I am going to go ahead and open RegGenie.

Ok, First thing I notice with RegGenie is that it does appear to focus mostly on your Computer Registry. It doesn't look like there are a lot of other tools, it just goes straight to fixing your computer errors by going to the computer registry. However, RegGenie does include a Registry Defrag which is a nice feature and not all other Registry Cleaners include that.

Also I should note that a Startup Manager does come with RegGenie as well, but that's about it as far as additional tools.

Anyway, I went ahead and tested the features. The Registry Scanner performed very well and found a lot of errors. I am impressed. And like I said, the Registry Defrag is also a nice feature that I like.

I should also note, RegGenie features a Registry Backup. That way if you are worried about RegGenie making changes to your Computer Registry, you can back up the Registry before hand and completely undo any of the changes RegGenie makes. So don't worry about giving RegGenie control of your Registry like that.

In all, I think I will go ahead and recommend RegGenie. It may not have all of the features that other System Optimization programs have, but for a Registry Cleaner, RegGenie seems like a nice choice. Good luck!

RegTool Review

Ok, I was surfing the web and came across another Registry Cleaner. This Registry cleaner is called RegTool. Since I'm always reviewing new products, I guess that means I need to do a RegTool Review. :)

The first thing that caught my eye when I saw the RegTool website was the feature list. It appears that RegTool has quite the feature list. However, I am going to download RegTool and see for myself if it truly has all of these features or not.

So anyway, I went ahead just now and downloaded and installed RegTool. Thankfully it's not a really large download and just takes a minute to download and install, after that I went ahead and opened RegTool.

My first thought when opening RegTool is wow, it really does have a lot of features. It looks like all of the features you might expect in a System Optimization program are here. Theres the Registry Cleaners, Junk Cleaner, Evidence Cleaner, BHO Manager, Uninstall Manager, Memory Tweaker, Disk Defrag, Error Repair, etc. Seems like the list is endless.

Also especially nice is a feature that lets you block certain Active X Plug-ins from installing onto your system. It basically is a way to protect yourself from spyware. Considering how obsessed I am with keeping my computer secure, I like that. :)

In trying all the tools in RegTool, they all appear to do well. The Registry Cleaner and Junk File cleaner performed as expected. And of course the Memory Tweaker and Error Repair are also very useful.

In all, I really like RegTool. It's got an awesome feature list and all the features appear to perform well. I'm going to go ahead and recommend this software. Good luck!

ErrorFix Review

Time to do another review. I came across this software called ErrorFix and of course figured I had to do an ErrorFix review for this blog. :)

Anyway, looking at the ErrorFix website, it appears that ErrorFix is another Registry Cleaner that is on the market. Based on the website though, ErrorFix looks pretty impressive. It looks like it has a lot of features. Anyway, it's time to download and install it.

Ok, I went ahead and downloaded and installed ErrorFix. There were multiple versions, so I went ahead and installed the full ErrorFix version. The download was just 3MB, so it was a fairly quick download and installation, so now it's time to open ErrorFix.

Ok, I now am looking at ErrorFix. Wow, I see a lot of features. There is the Registry Cleaner, Junk Files cleaner, Evidence cleaner, PC Optimizer, Block Bad Active X feature, Error Repair, Re-register Active X, Tweak Memory, Smart Disk Defrag, Optimize Internet, Update Windows, Startup Manager, BHO Manager etc. This is quite a feature list and I'm very impressed.

I went ahead and looked at some of the tools with ErrorFix and they all performed very well. I especially love the Block Bad Active X Feature. What that basically does is block bad Active X files from installing onto your system. It's basically a way to prevent a lot of different types of spyware from getting onto your system. Nice.

The Tweak Memory feature is also nice. It lets you free up a lot of RAM on your system.

In all, I really like ErrorFix and I'm glad I tried it out. Although it's marketed as a Registry Cleaner, it's much more then that and seems to be a full system optimization program. ErrorFix looks like the perfect tool for keeping your computer up to speed. I highly recommend it. Good luck!

SpamWeed Review

You know, I rarely do Anti-Spam product reviews. But I've just came across this software called SpamWeed, so I figured what the hell. Time to do a SpamWeed Review. :)

So yeah, anyway, I spent some time looking over SpamWeed, and I must say, I'm pretty impressed with SpamWeed.

Basically, SpamWeed works with Microsoft Outlook, Thunderbird, Eudora, Incredibmail, and all POP3 E-mail clients. So if you use any of those programs then you can definitely use SpamWeed.

Honestly, I'm not exactly sure how to describe SpamWeed. But basically, it helps reduce the amount of spam you receive. SpamWeed does this many different ways. For instance, I noticed there are multiple filters you can use for your incoming e-mail. You can filter out e-mails in other languages, filter out e-mails containing certain keywords, filter out e-mails from certain addresses, etc. It's pretty cool.

A couple other things worth pointing out is SpamWeed also tries to identify e-mails that may have potential viruses, so in a way, it also helps in preventing virus infections. Considering how into Computer Security I am, I like that feature. :-D

Overall though my favorite feature of SpamWeed is the feature I mentioned earlier about filtering out e-mails with certain keywords. Seriously, think of how many spam e-mails you get about viagra, sex, etc. Just add those keywords to the filter list, and those spam e-mails are all filtered out just like that. That's quite a time saver.

Anyway, in conclusion I really like SpamWeed and I definitely recommend it if you are having problems with spam and you use Microsoft Outlook or any of the other programs that SpamWeed supports. Good luck!

RegCross Review

And my award for most clever name of the year goes to this program called RegCross. lol, I just came across it and figured I'd do a RegCross review.

RegCross appears to be another Registry Cleaner. When you visit the RegCross website, you see lots of red crosses. So I'm guessing this is supposed to be the computer version of the Red Cross? Damn to make a comparison like that this better be good. Although obviously, this program wasn't put out by the actual Red Cross.

I went ahead and downloaded and installed RegCross. The installation file was just under 2MB, so it was a very quick download and installation.

Ok so, I went ahead and opened RegCross. I took a look around the program. It appears to be your standard Registry Cleaner. There aren't much additional features unfortunately, but there is a start-up manager. So with that... I went ahead and started the Registry Cleaner.

In the mean time, I'm back looking at the RegCross website. You know, in their RegCross screenshots, the RegCross appears to be in Spanish. But the version I downloaded is in English. Strange, lol.

And... the Registry Scan finished. RegCross actually found a large amount of Registry Errors. Nice...

Anyway, in conclusion I will go ahead and recommend RegCross. It may not have a lot of additional features, but if you are looking for a basic Registry Cleaner, RegCross definitely excels at that.

Driver Genius Review

I found another software program that claims to automatically update your Drivers. This program is called Driver Genius. I figured I'd go ahead and do a Driver Genius Review.

Upon looking at the website, Driver Genius looks to be a pretty impressive program. But it's time to find out. I went ahead and downloaded Driver Genius, it is just under 10MB. It's a fairly small download, although that might take a little bit of time if you are on a dial-up connection. Anyway, after installing it, it's time to check out Driver Genius.

Upon opening Driver Genius, I clicked the option to scan my current computer drivers. While it does that, I will quickly explain what I see on the main window. On the left is basically 8 buttons. Backup Drivers, Restore Drivers, Update Drivers, Uninstall Drivers, Options, Tools, LiveUpdate, Help. Those are all pretty self-explanatory. So I won't bother explaining them.

Anyway, the scan just finished. It found 18 critical driver updates that I need to install. Damn, that's a lot. I'm kinda embarrassed actually, cause I'm supposed to have my computer up to date with everything lol.

But yeah, in conclusion I'm going to go ahead and recommend Driver Genius. It has a driver database of over 80,000 drivers and does a nice job at finding driver updates to install. Two thumbs up.

One Click Privacy Review

"Don't Get Caught With Your Digital Pants Down!" That was the main thing I saw when I visited the website of this product called One Click Privacy. I'm sorry, but that is absolutely hilarious. Because that caught my eye, I'm going to go ahead and use this post to do a One Click Privacy Review. :)

One Click Privacy is basically a History Cleaner. It's main purpose is to clear your computer tracks. There may be multiple reasons you would want to do this. Maybe you don't want your boss knowing what you were doing on the computer. Or maybe you don't want the spouse to know. Hey, I'm not here to judge. :)

I went ahead and took a look at One Click Privacy. The download is very small, so it should be no problem even for dial-up users.

Anyway, On the main window I see four buttons on the left. Scan, Options, Shred, and Report. They are pretty self-explanatory. Scan is the actual History Cleaner. Options are the program Options. Shred is a file shredder to overwrite files multiple times before deleting them, and Report is past Scan results.

As far as the History Cleaner itself, it seems to perform fairly well. It got all the usual areas for cleaning your tracks. It even erases Instant Messaging files and VoIP files.

In all, One Click Privacy seems like a pretty good program if you need it. I recommend it. That website headline though still takes the cake. lol :)

Registry Convoy Review

Another post, another day, another registry cleaner. I've reviewed way too many. :). Although I guess that means I'm experienced at it, and that's always good I guess. :)

This registry cleaner is called Registry Convoy. From the looks of the website, Registry Convoy appears to be your typical Registry Cleaner. Unfortunately, I didn't see many other additional features listed. I'm hoping there are some though with Registry Convoy.

Ok, time to download and install Registry Convoy. The installation file was really small, just 1.36MB. That's gotta be a record for smallest Registry Cleaner installation file. lol. But at least that means it will download really quick even on dial-up connections.

Anyway, I'm now looking at the main window of Registry Convoy. Unfortunately, I'm not very impressed from looking at the main window. I don't really see any additional features. It appears this is just a Registry Cleaner and nothing more. Considering most Registry Cleaners include other additional tools, I'm really disappointed that Registry Convoy doesn't have additional features.

As far as the Registry Cleaner itself, it seemed to perform alright. It wasn't spectacular, but it wasn't bad either.

In conclusion, I'm not very impressed with Registry Convoy. Like I said, it doesn't have that many additional features, and I consider that a big thing with Registry Cleaners. If you are just looking for a Registry Cleaner then maybe you'd like Registry Convoy, otherwise though, go ahead and pass on this software.

Imagic Photo Review

You know, I've reviewed a lot of products on this blog. But I'm not sure if I've reviewed any type of image programs. I guess there's a first time for everything. :)

For this post I will go ahead and do an Imagic Photo review. At first looking it, Imagic Photo looked to be a basic program for editing your images.

Upon checking it out though, I was pretty impressed by Imagic Photo. It has settings to change the lighting, exposure, saturation, etc. It's basically an easy way to fix up your photos. I guess what I like the most about Imagic Photo is the simplicity. Personally, for years I have used Paint Shop Pro for photo editing, but I know that going over and teaching Grandma how to fix her pictures with Paint Shop Pro would be kind of difficult (and costly buying Paint Shop Pro for her). Imagic Photo seems to be a nice alternative.

If you already have Paint Shop Pro or Photoshop or any other big photo editor, then you shouldn't bother with Imagic Photo. But if you don't have any photo editor and you are looking to easily edit your photos, you may want to give Imagic Photo a try.

PDF Generator Pro Review

Wanted to quickly make a post about some software I just came across. This software is called PDF Generator Pro.

You can probably guess what PDF Generator Pro does just by it's name. But if you can't figure it out, PDF Generator Pro will help you create PDF files! Surprise surprise. :)

Although not a lot of people need to create PDF's, there are some people that do. And after taking a look at PDF Generator Pro, I highly recommend this software for those that do in fact need to create PDF's.

In addition to helping you to easily create PDF's, a couple of the features I especially liked with PDF Generator Pro was the option to create other file formats (PNG's, JPEG's, etc) and the option to encrypt your PDF files. I'm guessing large businesses would especially like that feature.

The only downside is the video demonstration on the PDF Generator Pro website. Yikes! lol. The audio is horrible. :)

Ah well... I still like PDF Generator Pro and I highly recommend it. Good luck!

Registry Kit Review

For this post, I am going to go ahead and do a Registry Kit Review. Registry Kit appears to be a new registry cleaner that was just released. From looking at the website, Registry Kit looks very impressive. So I figured I would go ahead and try it out.

First off, I will say that the Registry Kit download was very quick and the installation was just as quick. Even if you are on dial-up, it shouldn't take long to download Registry Kit.

Anyway, I'm now looking at the Registry Kit main window. I'm pretty impressed looking at the main program and looking at all the features Registry Kit. It isn't just a Registry Cleaner, Registry Kit appears to be a full system optimization program.

Some of the features that I notice besides the Registry Cleaner include a Registry Defrag, Secure File Shredder, Startup Manager, History Cleaner, Speed Optimizer, Memory Optimizer, IE Plugin Manager, Malicious Program Blocker, and more.

I took a look at the Malicious Program Blocker, because I have never really heard of a feature like that in any registry cleaners that I've tried before. Basically, it's a list of ActiveX Controls you can block that are harmful and may try to install onto your computer through websites. It's basically a way to protect yourself against Spyware. I think that's pretty cool that it's included in a program that's supposed to be a Registry Cleaner.

Anyway... I went ahead and tested out a few of the features of Registry Kit. The Registry cleaner performed fairly well and found a high number of registry errors to fix. The History Cleaner also performed very well and freed up a lot of space. One other feature that also performed very well which I like very much was the Memory Optimizer.

In conclusion, I really like this program. The thing I love most about this program is just how many features and tools there are for keeping your computer up to speed. My favorite tools are the Memory Optimizer, Malicious Program Blocker, History Cleaner, and of course, the Registry Cleaner. Those who are new to computers may also appreciate the Startup Manager, as it makes managing your items that run at startup very easy. Anyway, I highly recommend Registry Kit.

Infinity Optimizer Review

Time to review a new System Optimizer program I came across. This one is called Infinity Optimizer. Let’s get right to it.

To start... their site is not very impressive. The feature list looks nice, but where do I start with everything else. Some of the Customer Testimonials feature the exact same Testimonials but listed under different customers. Are you kidding me? Also… it lists a System Alert on my computer for “Slow Opening”, “Unnecessary Disk”, “Win System”, and “Internet Speed Time”. What exactly does Unnecessary Disk mean? My guess is they left a word out somewhere. Oh de... On the plus side, at least the website has a nice look and has a lot of information about Infinity Optimizer.

So... I went ahead and downloaded and installed Infinity Optimizer. The installation file was about 8 Megs. That’s a little bigger then most computer optimization programs are, but that could be just because of the large feature list. The installation was also very quick.

Anyway... upon opening Infinity Optimizer, I am greeted with a System Report. It basically lists the last time I did some of the various features that come with Infinity Optimizer. For instance, last registry clean, last junk file cleaner, etc.

Man... I don’t even know what to say with this program. You know... The feature list is really impressive. A favorites backup? I’m not sure I can think of another System Optimizer I’ve reviewed that has included something like that. But for instance... When I went to the Uninstall Manager, under program description it was listed as “porgram description”. Are you kidding me?? Typos in the program itself?

In wrapping this review up, I honestly don’t know whether to recommend Infinity Optimizer or not. I don’t like some of the things about the website, and the typos in the software are just unbelievable. On the other hand though it has a very nice feature list, and in testing out the features, they seem to work pretty good. If you don’t care about the website and don’t mind typos in the program, then go ahead and download Infinity Optimizer.

Registry Gear Review

Well, it’s time to review a new Registry Cleaner I came across. I’m telling you, this blog probably has more registry cleaner reviews then any other blog out there. :)

This software is called Registry Gear. The Registry Gear website says Registry Gear has some of the usual features. A Registry Cleaner, Automatic Scan, Backup Options, etc. The website also claims Registry Gear has a Registry Defragmenter. That’s a nice feature. Not too many Registry Cleaners have that.

Anyway, I went ahead and downloaded and installed Registry Gear. The download was just 1.46MB. Very small and quick download. The installation was also just as quick.

Ok, I went ahead and opened Registry Gear. It’s got an interesting layout. At the top are a few buttons. Start Page, Scan & Fix, Registry Defrag, Settings, Help, and About. Those are all pretty self-explanatory. Under the buttons is a status box. It lists how many registry entries are found, how many have been cleaned, and my registry health. It lists my registry health as low. I’ll be the judge of that. ;)

After looking at the layout, I went ahead and ran the Registry Scan. The Registry Scan found 5,406 registry errors. That is a lot more then many other Registry Cleaners have found. It is possible that some of those errors are actually needed Registry Entries. However, the good news is that Registry Gear offers a Registry Backup. That way if it does accidentally remove Registry Entries that you need, you can restore those entries.

That is about all there is to talk about with Registry Gear. Like I mentioned, Registry Gear also offers a Registry Defragmenter. That is a nice additional feature. Besides that, there aren’t many other features. In conclusion, I recommend giving Registry Gear a try. It may lack many additional features, but the Registry Cleaner sure finds a lot of potential errors.
